So glad he nixed that girl from the crazy family!!!
I agree - I would have wanted to get the heck outta there, and fast! Her family was too much. And I find it very interesting that her dad comes off as very traditionally religious, while her mom (step mom?) is quite...out there. They just seem like an odd pair to me.

I really like all three that are left, but I'm thinking Melissa and Jillian for the final two. I feel like Jillian's hometown date went the best and they really connected, and that he would pick Melissa over Molly. But I will be really interested to see what all this business about DeAnna is. I think it's shady to bring her back so late in the season. It better not be an "I want you back" sort of thing -that's just mean.

Did anyone else read Chris Harrison's blog? I'm excited for the "Tell All" show. Usually I'm not, but I think it will be an interesting one this time around.

I was just reading the screencap analysis at Fans of Reality TV [ok, so clearly, I'm procrastinating to be spending time over there] and the rose ceremony from last night did not have Melissa getting the last rose as it was aired - she got the 2nd rose. When she is walking back to the line there is still a rose on the table.

DRAMA, I tell you

Glad Naomi left. She may be a nice girl, but I never liked her for Jason.

Jillian's my favorite. Hands down. Then Melissa. Same as it's been all season.

Re: Melissa

Does anyone else think it's weird that not even Melissa's friends know her parents?

I realize this could be a couple of things.... like maybe her friends aren't from the area? (For example, my college friends have never met my parents b/c my 'rents live 7 hours away and they pretty much only came up to move me into my dorm. But all my high school friends knew my parents?)

idk It's weird.

If ya'll haven't seen it yet, there is a possible spoiler on the internet. Some guy thinks the 'winner' is Melissa because of her pinky ring.

I find it odd that DeAnna would randomly show up in New Zealand...it's not like she's just in the neighborhood returning a library book or something! I knew that she would be returning this season but I guess I thought it already happened b/c I missed an episode earlier on.

I'm sure the producers of the bachelor brought Deanna to New Zealand for the drama factor. This would have been in the process of taping when she and Jesse broke up, right?

Many of my college and post college friends have not met my parents. Once I wasn't living with my parents, there was no reason for my parents to meet them, except maybe at my weddings. She hasn't had one of those yet! I want to find the preview again and try to figure out what Melissa is saying to Jason about her parents next week.

I thought it was a little odd that her friends hadn't met her parents. I went to college in California and even my college friends have met my family at graduation and such. Post-college friends I would not expect to know her parents. But I also thought it was odd that her friends apparently haven't met her boyfriends. Maybe Melissa has a low self-esteem and knows that her family won't like the guys, so she doesn't bring them home.

In my family, you only brought home a guy if you were planning on married him. Seriously, they would all assume that it was *that* serious if you brought him home. It wasn't taken lightly and people would be making comments all over the place, especially if you brought him to an extended family event with the Italian cousins. You just didn't bring someone home to meet the parents unless it was truly that serious.

why can't they tape an episode, edit it, and then show it the following week or two? these people have to wait 3-4 months until after the final episode airs to hook up with each other again? no wonder the success rate of them staying together is low.

Agreed. Even MTV's The Hills and The City are about a month away from reality. Heck The Hills got within less than two weeks at one point. Sure this is a different show, but a month or even a month and a half is so not too much to ask.

I'm watching tonight's episode on DVR. So am I the only one that finds Jillian slightly grating? Everyone seems to love her.

I loved Jillian and I'm bummed she's gone. She's very real to me, and I think she was being herself moreso than, say, Molly. I do like Melissa, but I really don't like Molly. I can't really put my finger on it, but I feel like Molly's maybe a nicer version of Regina George.

I wasn't crazy about Jillian. I've been rooting for Melissa for a long time. He just totally lights up when he sees her, unlike the others. In fact, I think they're making a bigger deal out of the "not meeting the parents" thing just to try to tone it down it a little. Molly's eyes really are incredible.

Every time we get to the overnight dates, I think I'd be totally skeeved out if I was the third date, knowing he'd been in a fantasy suite with two other women already.
