DITTO THAT!

As for the rainbowbrightcs situation, I don't think it's an appropriate topic to discuss, but that's just my opinion.

I think I would be hurt and sad to receive a letter like that, but then again, I'm not totally aware of both sides of the story nor all of the facts, so I will refrain my comment.

In any case, I hope both ladies can come to some sort of a peace with each other and heal whatever hurts are still outstanding.

the end.

rainbowbrightcs always seemed pretty normal to me...oh well, one of the many mysteries of GC for Dionysus to unlock.

BTW, is there really nothing better to argue about right now? sheesh!

ok so this is a little bit of a hijack--

isn't the latin phrase "veni, vidi, vici" for we saw, we came, we conquered??? (in her signature for the motto of the sorority)

i took latin for years and that's how i remember it. i've never seen it this other way, is it even right???

back on topic---don't worry about this girl. she's clearly talking out of her ass.

I believe that Veni, Vidi, Vici is: I came, I saw, I conquered.

I presume that they are using the "we" form.
I did notice that too.

what was that other sorority (I think it was a online sorority) where they were Pi and used "Rho" as a letter thinking that this was letter for Pi? LOL

The Latin is incorrect I don't have my Latin dictionary and books (still on the barge) however I believe it is:

Venbamus, Vidbamus, Vinbambamus

If I am wrong any other Latin scholars, feel free to correct it. I cannot remember all the verb endings, nor the verbs. It is HOT and conjugating is the last thing on my mind. Present, Perfect, Active, Passsive...grrrrrrr.
After consulting my trusty Wheelock's (oh, I need to get back to school!), the Perfect Imperative Active 1st person plural form of the phrase "veni vidi vici" is:

"venimus vidimus vicimus"

I hope that's right...still about a month until I delve back into the worlds of St. Augustine and Herodotus.

Da, so damn what! This person was asking for advice and backing from "respected people" people of GC!

If this email to her was true then why not a bash the bitch for what she said!?? It was totally uncalled for, Period!

If none of this post is true, it did get conversation up.

None of us were there or in this persons shoes so , Yes we do not know for sure! That is what is great about GC, We take at face value until proven different!

Some Riding on High Horses, remember, the fall is longer to the ground.

Okay, I can honestly see both sides of the coin. I can see why some people are pissed that Lauren posted the email and considered it "airing dirty laundry", but I can also see the fact that she was looking for support from her fellow GC's.

What "Abby" did was completely uncalled for. I don't care if you depledged, deactivated whatever the case may be you don't treat someone like that, especially not another sister. It doesn't matter if your not of the same "Greek Family" so to speak, but as my rush shirt from 1998 said "No matter what the letter, were all greek together", is totally true. YOu can't like everyone but you MOST CERTAINATELY respect them.

That is were the problem lies. Abby didn't respect Lauren and she shames all greeks for behaving that way. Thank goodness an apology letter was issued, but it was probably only due to the fact that someone found out what Abby did and wanted to cover their asses.

Well that's all I have to say, agree with me, disagree with me. I don't care. That's the great thing, is that I'll respect y'alls opinions no matter what.
