Oh man, all I can say is WOAH! Whatever happened to Greek Life being about unity and friendship? This girl obviously missed that memo! How can you tell someone that they aren't right to be in a sorority just because they aren't right for your sorority? Did she really expect for you to just continue pledging and become a member of an organization that wasn't right for you? As a member of a well-established local sorority that is in the process of expanding, I can tell you that it takes guts, determination, and charisma to start up a chapter let alone an entire new sorority. Oh behalf of the sisters of the Delta chapter of Kappa Lambda Psi, I would like to congratulate you on your hard work and efforts and we are eager to hear of what we're sure will be Rho Sigma Zeta's many accoplishments soon. -Masha:) |
She sounds like a bitter, miserable person. If she was all that happy with her sisterhood, she wouldn't bother writing such a venomous letter to you because you're interested in starting your own.
Put the letter where it belongs, in the trash can! |
What in the world did she mean by "seeking legal refute"?
|
interesting. people suck.
|
especially ignornant people like that.
|
Okay, I just have to say that I am ROFLMAO that she said all that and then signed it Good Luck. what a dork.
"seeking legal refute" is a fancy schmancy way of saying they will sue. |
Is "her" sorority a local one as well?
Just wondering because of the whole "seeking legal refute" thing... if they are local, they don't really have a case, do they? (I am just guessing that most locals don't have their letters/symbols/everything else copyrighted?) I don't really know both sides of the story, so I wouldn't want to make any judgements on the writer of the letter... but the letter did sound rather mean :o |

I don't know if "sorority beliefs" are really a legal case. I mean, if you think about it, different sororities were formed for different reasons, but most all of them have *some kind* of belief in strong academic excellence, leadership, philanthropic work, sisterhood, and growing in social settings. Maybe what she meant in the letter about the "sorority beliefs" were more than just general things like that.. something more specific, but I wouldn't know what? |
My gosh!! I would be so embarassed to call a girl like that a sister. Which lucky sorority got her?
That is also very rude. I can see why you left. :( |
DAYUMN that is wrong! This comes to mind:

That Abby just needs to:
*reach up her a$$ *pull the stick out Grr to her! |
I can't believe that she wrote that letter!! Who does she think she is to get into a major hissy fit over your wanting to establish a new sorority? If you and your friend didn't find a fit with hers, you had every right to depledge. Also, what she did was totally uncouth.
This is coming from a woman who co-founded a young, yet growing sorority, but I think what you are doing takes a lot of guts and determination. Don't give up because of the letter! Good Luck!!! http://216.40.249.192/s/otn/wink/smily012.gif |
Talk about a way to ruil Greek relations. I say ignore her, and know that you can do this, and you already are. You don't need negative people dragging you down!
