A-ha! You're quite right, Jess. I re-read her post and she wants to go to Bugs and Daffy for preference. I'll do some back-tracking. Thanks for the heads up.
I do hope she gets her top picks for pref though!

PREF!!!!!!
I GOT MY TOP 2!!!! I so was not expecting that! I really thought Daffy fell through.
ok so I went to bugs 1st
Bugs- So much good food. and I met this girl I really like and the girl that preff'd me wrote me an amazing letter. I t made me sad that I had to give it back.... grrrrrr.... anyway, we talked about so many things and it just was such a fun party.
Daffy- The girl that preff'd me, i didnt remember. That made me sad because she liked me enough to preff me.... I just met so many girls. I played it off like I did remember her though. I didnt want to seem rude. The place was beautiful. Way more decorated than Bugs. I saw the girl from day 1 that I loved and she told me that she was so glad that I was there. That made me happy.
At the end of the day, I knew what I wanted. I ranked
Bugs
Daffy....
Tomorro I get my bid!

Congratulations on your top 2 and for a great pref round. I can't believe that PHA scheduled a day between bid day and preference though! Must be torture waiting that long! (We actually did that at MD a few years ago because of the Superbowl. Pref was on Saturday night, Superbowl was on Sunday, and Bid Day was on Monday. Now we do pref on Sunday afternoon.)

you have got to be kidding....the school actually thought that girls would be more interested in watching the super bowl than in finding out which sorority they were pledging??
hoping for good news for you nervousmama!

I think it's more the social aspect of going to a Superbowl PARTY. But you can be sure I would have been VERY upset if Bid Day conflicted with Superbowl XL.

Just throwing this in there... our school had bid day on Superbowl Sunday two years ago, and you would not believe how many girls were furious that they were missing the game! (Gotta admit, I was one of them )
Anyway back to your regularly scheduled thread... Good luck, Nervousmama!!

Personally speaking, I would probably raise heck if they scheduled bid day during the superbowl. It was bad enough when big sis reveal was from 3-4 and the game started at 5. But maybe I'm just football obsessed...
