I want Ozzy to win! I hope he doesn't screw himself over in talking to the other Adam/Parvati. Besides, Adam and Parvati have more jury votes since most of their friends are there.
I hate when people can't keep alliances. Every season it's always the dominating group's demise -- breaking up too soon.

If people kept their alliances, it would be a much more boring show to watch!

I hate when people are surprised that someone broke the alliance. HELLO? Have you not watched a reality show in the past 10-15 years? I know before the first survivor everyone was a bit surprised, but geeze what is this, Survivor 13? Come on people!

I daresay I didn't say that I would be surpised, I said that it's always someone's big downfall. That you never really see people break their alliance at the right time and it always screws them over in the end.
I definitely am NOT surprised by their doing this, I just don't always think it's the best move, but sometimes it is.
And yes, I too agree that it would be boring to watch if they didn't, I was just saying...

I don't really mean viewers, I mean the people on the show. Candice and Johnathon break alliance and the Johnathon breaks again and all of a sudden he's a rat bastard.
Because he shifted sides when it was in his benefit. No shit.
Oh noes you broke our alliance! ZOMG!

I was at work late last night and I forgot to set the DVR.
Could someone kindly provide a recap of last night? Sounds like I missed an interesting one!

You did miss a good episode. It starts out with Adam and Parvati sitting on the beach and musing about how they're in the minority. They are trying to figure out a way to shake things up a bit so they won't be picked off.
The reward challenge was pretty funny. The survivors had to literally roll around a mud pit and see how much mud they could squeeze off their bodies into a bucket. The person with the most mud in their bucket won the reward challenge.
It wasn't even close-- Ozzy won by a landslide. The winner and two runner ups (Yul and Parvati) all got to go to a gorgeous spa for the night-- for a shower, massage, big meal, and a jacuzzi. Parvati was flirting like crazy in the spa, hoping to win over Ozzy.
Meantime, Ozzy sent Adam to Exile Island... while Becky and Sundra went back to camp.
The next challenge was a balance beam and a puzzel. Ozzy won that one too for immunity.
At tribal council, Parvati was voted out. Sundra received two votes.

I would be happy with either Ozzie or Yul winning. Both have played an excellent game. Ozzie just kicks ass in all of the challenges- he moves like some sort of animal- so fluid.

Tonight's council meeting really p***ed me off. Candice and Parvati rolling their eyes while Yul talked made me very happy to know that he has outplayed them. Adam, Candace, and Parvati need to get over the fact that Yul and his tribe outplayed them. Adam's whole speech was geared to driving a wedge between the last members. It's a game you idiots! Y'all would have done the same to Yul, Becky, Sundra, and Ozzy if you had been winners instead of losers!

I agree.. and they need to remember that Survivor is "outwit, outplay, outlast." Yul certainly out-witted and outpayed much better than Becky and Ozzy... although Ozzy was an extremely strong player.
How embarrassing for Becky and Sundra to not be able to build a fire after 35 on the island. Ouch! It was hilarious watching the looks on the faces of those in the jury.. half of them falling asleep while the two fumbled with flint, and couldn't even start a fire with matches!
I was very happy to see Yul (the godfather!) win the million. He deserves it.

I would have been happier had Ozzy won, but I'm glad it was so close. I think Yul got all the credit even though he, Ozzy, Sundra, and Becky all worked as a team.
I haven't watched the reunion part of the show yet, but it seems like a lot of the jury members were really angry. I'll be interested to hear their comments.

Yul didn't outwit. The others chose to let him win by not making him use the Hidden Immunity Idol earlier in the game. Everybody knew he had it and seemed to just figure "Well, he has the HII, so we'll just let him slide". At some point, they could have set things up so that 3 players voted for Yul and 2 voted for the "real" target, thereby making Yul play the HII and the real target would still get voted off. They weren't smart enough. If Yul didn't have the HII, would he have gotten this far? Ozzy got that far purely on his own merits and for that, I would have voted for him to win. I don't dislike Yul, but I think Ozzy worked harder. How many immunities did he win in a row? And, they were both physical AND mental too, so it wasn't just brawn.

Next Survivor promises to be quite interesting. As a side note-- While they were filming on the island of Vanua Levu on Fiji -- there was a military coup just 30 minutes away in the capitol city of Suva. Fortunately, it was a bloodless coup. Things were touch and go for a while as the Survivor crew was getting all of its food supplies (they have 350 crew) from that city. They also had to pull some of it's production staff out of the city. But, filming has wrapped, and this incident gives new meaning to "the show must go on."
Jeff Probst e-mailed Entertainment Weekly this statement:
"To be shooting Survivor while the host country is in the midst of a coup is a bit surreal for all of us here in Fiji. We have set up our satellite TV in the catering area [for producers and crew members only] and during dinner the entire crew watches the local news to get updates on what is happening.
"Fortunately, we are on another island that is a 30-minute flight away from the capital city of Suva where the coup is centered. Everyone here is safe and the disruptions thus far have been minimal. We had a few production staff stationed in Suva that we brought back to base camp, and during the past week any crew members that were scheduled to fly to location were unable to due to flight cancellations. Otherwise, we have continued filming without interruption."
So.. what to expect? This time around, there will be 19 survivors. There will be not one, but two HII's... and in their social experimentation-- there will be one tribe that lives in luxury and the other with nothing.
Survivor 14 is set to debut in February.
