I don't understand how the same family that owns the Red Wings could be so inept at baseball. It seems like they're using all of their money on hockey and blowing off the baseball side of their operations.
Feel bad that it's happening to Alan Trammell - such a great player, now he's managing the worst team in baseball history.

Well, here we go.
Astros and Cubs tied atop the Central.
One weekend left.
Stros vs. Brewers and Cubs vs. Pirates.
If they Stros can take care of business, i think chicago will drop at least one in that series.
Then it's off to another year of being eliminated by the Braves by Houston.
Kitso
KS 361 times better Houston's bullpen is than chicago's

Yeah, but Oswalt doesn't pitch in any of those games . . . it's Robertson, Villone, and my man Wade to finish out (hey, at least no Scuffy Moehler).
Remember - the Cubs go Prior, Clement, Wood through the weekend. No Estes (all you Cubs fans should have some sort of boner for that one). Also, they're basically playing the Pirates' AAA team as they hold open tryouts for next year's roster (although the Brews are doing similar).
However - the Astros are so sick at home . . . great final weekend from a pretty bad division.
... and it's a mere 5 days until Pedro strikes out 14 in Network Associates, yaaaaay! (special ed voice)

Do you believe in miracles? Isn't that from the 1980 U.S. Olympics Hockey Team?

Ok, now i'm split. I've been a lifelong Braves and Cubs fan...(my mom and family is from atlanta, my dad and family from Chicago)...i've never had to choose one team over another like this before!
