Why didn't you post this with one of your other IDs? Oh wait. Never mind. Those have been banned for abusing other members.

Hmm...gee, is this someone hiding behind alternate ID's as well??

Hmmm.....that would be odd!
All I can say is that regardless of the "rules" your touting here, I am just going to assume that the OPs brother was not out robbing banks, or getting drunk or acting like an ass out in public to where someone would say "hey, that person who is wearing that Delta Gamma tie tack is a bad person....."
I have a real problem here when there are members of organizations who disgrace their own organization with their actions and often times are wearing letters or other insignia......
I agree with the poster....get a life some of you and stop harrassing people who merely ask questions...... This is supposed to be a place of discussion not attacks!!

There is a huge difference between a T-shirt and a piece of jewelry bearing the crest of an organization.

Not really, if those shirts have the crest or other insignia of the organization as well....according to the constitutions of most organizations the use of the symbols is restricted to members only. I guess that would also go for anything else, such as novelties and whatnot........
The wearing of jewelry too usually ONLY pertains to the organizations' badges or member pins. Not other jewelry, because many of the sororities have things that Mothers can wear and fraternities often times have sweetheart pins or items. If a member gives one of these items to a loved one to wear then are they breaking the rules of non members wearing jewelry?

None of the philanthropy shirts I've had have ever had the crest. They've had letters or the name written out. I'll ask my friend who is on Sig Chi's alum board on my campus...what would you be more offended by, me wearing your Derby Days shirt or a crest pin?
And, yes, they would be breaking the rules. The rules do not change because "Oh, it's a loved one." I wouldn't (and couldn't, by Pi Phi's rules), give my fiance my badge to wear. He is not a member. I did, however, give my mother an allowed mother's pin.

Ok, although...I am not referring to a members pin, although there was a practice years ago of "pinning" which was a very common practice of allowing your sweetheart to wear your badge.......There are many articles written about this subject.....
I am only referring to the use of crests and coat of arms and "novelty" items being used and or worn by non members.....the badge or initiate pins are NOT what this thread is about......

I forget his original handle, but he is a badge collector who used to post pretty heavily in the badge trends thread. And yes he is Greek.

Yes, that is who it is. You will not find posts under those names though unless he was QFPed since he keeps getting banned for harassing members. Now he is harassing me via private message. Jerk.

Banned peeps don't always get their posts removed, so I'm guessing his were pretty spectacularly assy.
