THANK YOU. I'm not afraid of facing "the end." Eternal paradise or being trapped down here with pain, hurt, and stupid people? Didn't even pack a bag, I'm ready to go as is. Please and thank you.

Has anyone seen/read the boy Heaven is for Real? I saw it in Target yesterday and it looked interesting. It's about a 4yo who went into emergency surgery and, when he woke up, he told his parents about how he'd left his body and went to heaven for awhile. He apparently described heaven as it's described in the Bible even though he's never read that descrip, described what his parents were doing during his surgery, etc. It looked like an interesting, "a child shall lead them" kinda read: http://www.amazon.com/Heaven-Real-Li...6125026&sr=8-1.

I've heard of the book and the background story buuuuuttttt I don't know if I necessarily believe it (I do believe in an afterlife, a higher power, out of body experiences/near death experiences though). I mean, the kids father is a pastor and 4 year olds are not only very impressionable but they pick up on a lot more things than us adults give them credit for. The story reminds me of people who claim to have been victims of demonic possession. 99% of the possessed are devout to fanatical Christians. You never hear of atheists or buddhists or Easter/Christmas christians getting possessed.

We went to the grocery store yesterday, and we just happened to be out of almost everything - we've both been really busy these past few weeks and hadn't had time to sit down and make a list...so after being teased about the huge cartload of food we bought, my husband said we should have told them that we decided that since the world didn't end, it was finally time to go shopping. It was actually pretty funny, because that's not usually the kind of humor I hear from my husband.

Another really good book about a Near Death Experience is "Embraced by the Light" by Betty Eadie.

The first few "the world can't end! My soup doesn't expire until 2013!" jokes weren't that funny to begin with. Having to read another 20 similar jokes just started getting on my nerves.

THOSE jokes weren't funny, but MY jokes were hilarious.

Supposedly after days of silence he is supposed to make a statement today and answer to why the rapture didnt happen. I wonder if he will pay back all the money his idiot followers paid to him. I have mixed feelings about people getting their money back.
Apparently only his wife agrees with his theories. None of his children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren do.

I'm interested in hearing what he has to say. I feel bad for the people who really thought it was going to happen. I hope instead of being angry and turning away from their beliefs, they can re-assimilate, be happy for another new day and live a fulfilling life. It would be so easy to become angry and bitter from this, I hope they can shake it off and be okay.

For being a godless heathen.
Seriously, people are STILL posting rapture jokes on FB and Twitter. And at this point, they're no longer original. We're going to have to hear all this crap again in the near future, save some jokes people.

That's right! Eventhough the rapture didnt happen on Saturday, I've read some followers are still expecting the world to end in a fireball in October!

Nevermind the fact that 2012 is the end all for everything because that's when the aliens told the Mayans to stop their calander at, or something.

I'm not going to lie about it, I kind of don't feel all that bad for the people that spent all of their savings. It was their choice to spend & max out credit cards just to have dream vacations or for a few days of driving a really nice car.
They didn't even know for a fact that they would be raptured.
Personally, I thought it better to NOT spend all of your money, one, because if you are left behind then you'll have money to sustain you. Two, because, I agree with others that going to Heaven should be the ultimate bucket list. Esp for devout Christians, that's what they're working to achieve their whole lives?
As for the book about the little boy, my boyfriend brought it up (not the book specifically, but that he heard about the story) yesterday and I think it could be an interesting read.

Ah yes. December 21, 2012. I make a prediction that I will do the same thing on December 21 & 22, 2012 that I did on May 21 & 22, 2011--shaking my head at misled fools.
