LOL! I guess Ted Bundy's child is too old to be causing trouble in a theatre - but she's probably taking her kid to slasher movies.

I went to see Obsessed and a family with a boy who looked about 4 sat right behind me. During any scary part where the music swelled, he screamed. Just from the previews, it was obvious that it would be too much for a pre-schooler. And I was supposed to see it with a co-worker, but she was having trouble finding a sitter. She said, "If I can't find somebody, I'll just bring the baby." I squashed that IMMEDIATELY. I told her if it was good, I'd go see it a second time when she's free but baby girl stays home.

The most irritated I've been at a movie lately was this year when I went with my sister in law to see Twilight. First, we sat in front of a large group of people who had mutliple small children with them. Besides talking through out the movie, the little girl behind my sister in law started kicking the back of her seat. We turned around to complain and the "father" glared at us so menacingly that we got up and moved.

At the new seat, there was a man and his date sitting down the row from us. They started carrying on a complete conversation during the movie - I mean if you want to talk, why would you pay to see a movie???? So, we moved again.

The only available seats were in the front of the theater where a number of teens were sitting. There were kids texting, talking, checking their phones, etc.

Needless to say, we didn't enjoy the movie, and have Xed that theater off our list of places to go see a movie. It seems like a new theater will open up and for a bit, there will be decent clientelle, then I guess word gets around and all these sketchy "raised by wolves" type people start showing up there...

I've gotten to where I'll only go see a movie at the theater if it would TRULY lose its luster by waiting and watching it at home - like the new Star Trek - that, I want to see on the big screen...

best bet sometimes...is go very early and if you can swing it....during the week.

And sometimes waiting for the hoopla over a movie to die down sometimes works....

I don't like it when people put their feet up on the chairs next to my head, especially when they take their shoes off. When I say next to my head, I'm not saying "right" next to it or one seat over, but it's usually 2-3 seats over, and it bothers me. I think it's gross, especially if I'm eating popcorn.

I hate when people take their shoes off period. I tripped on some girl's shoes that she left on the floor while I was trying to get to my seat once and almost knocked the guy out that was sitting in front of her. Of course, I looked like the jerk.

OMG! YES! I think: "This is not your house and I do not know you!"

It is so disrespectful. I wouldn't even let people I did know do that, so why should a complete stranger feel the need to kick up their feet and let it all out next to my face. My boyfriend takes his shoes off EVERYWHERE including the theater! I have to constantly remind him that he's not a child and this is not his house, be a big boy or wear more comfortable shoes!

What about for people who want to keep their carpet clean. Walking inside someone's house with your shoes on can be disrespectful, especially if it's new carpet.

I forgot about this one.

I also hate it when people arrive late and find a seat at the other end, but start walking on my end to get to it, especially when it's a group of people. I remember this guy was walking by me with a group of friends, and he fell backwards and rather than holding on to something to break the fall he just sat on my lap. I think I lost half of my popcorn from that.

Has anyone ever had to leave to tell a manager?

I'm ok with people taking their shoes off in the house and in other people's houses (I certainly do that) but not at the movie theater. At the movies or in restaurants the only thing I can think when I see it is "GROSS!"

He must have been wearing some cheap azz shoes. Cheap azz shoes = funky azz feet. Folks buy cheap shoes, and then wonder why their feet go to stinkin' like lukewarm, expired, foul smellin' mayonnaise.

Strangers

There's nothing worse than strangers trying to get to know you during a movie. You know people who feel like the movie theater is the best place to meet new people. If you go to the theater alone there's always that one stranger that you share a laugh with during the previews that takes that as his/her opening to try to get to know you. Then they want to talk with you like y'all have been bffs since the womb during the whole movie. And you dont want to be rude and say STHU. You dont want to be more rude and move away from the person. So, you either sit there and pray they shut up or pretend to go to the bathroom and then come back and take another seat.

Probably already been said, but I hate people who talk in movies.

Particularly those who have verbal reactions to things or who ask questions to the person sitting next to them about what just happened. I especially don't like it when they're asking me those questions. WE ARE WATCHING THE SAME DAMNED MOVIE PEOPLE, I DON'T HAVE SOME SEPARATE SOURCE OF INFORMATION WHICH IS GOING TO RESULT IN ME HAVING MORE INFORMATION THAN YOU DO ON THIS SUBJECT.
