His topics can be interesting but his approach to them is not. I swear once a weeek he does a pimps in the pulpit show. He is clearly biased against folks who go to church. That alone turns me off. It's not that callers call in with their stories, but rather his reactions to those calls.

Doug and Lorna were really good but Doug had some type of terrible accident so he's gone.

SIDENOTE: WHUR has put the Steve Harvey Show on in the morning. All that slow talkin and callin women heifers is too much for me too. I dont even listen to WHUR anymore!
get. out. of. my. head!!
What happened to Doug?
I am still HEATED that The Real DC Morning Show was YANKED off the air like that.

I actually liked it. I prefer him on TV than the radio. The hollering on the radio sometimes gets my panties in a bunch. I'm like 'why all the blasting screaming??"

The only thing I didn't like was the first segment where the guests have their backs to the audience in that semi-circle bar thingee. I think that's real rude looking.

But I was laughing the entire time.

That actor lady (whatever her name was), was annoying me.

OK...I thought it was me who believed that Michael Baisden is a bit too loud. Some of his topics are interesting but it sounds as if he keeps repeating the same ones, over and over again.

There are so many issues in our communities that need to receive a national forum and unfortunately, those issues are being lost in the commerical radio shuffle.

Having moved from a place where I can no longer listen to the Tom Joyner and Russ Parr Shows, I've founf MB's show pretty good, for one reason: he deals with real, sometimes controversial, issues that affect people's lives, and he tries to get a broad spectrum of ages in on the conversation. As a Christian, I think his forums on the state of the black church are interesting and needed--when will you hear any self-critical dialogue about any of the ills of the black church? I think he has a thing against all forms of hypocrisy and all abuse. I applaud him on that. And Geogee W. is funny!

He thinks he's some kind of counselor when his approach is actually rather inconsiderate.

He can be kind of annoying, but some of his topics are interesting. He could play just a little more music though. ( I am a Frankie Beverly & Maze fan, last week he started the show stating that he's dedicating the first hour to them, but since he TALKS soooo much, he ended up playing only 3 or 4 songs.)

Today's show tackles paternity fraud. One of the callers has a movie that should be out in November which deals with PF.

This is the guy's site http://www.paternityfraud.com/

I know Mike can be over the top, but PF is a serious issue.

I absolutely loathe his show. I tried to give it a chance when they put it on the same station as they did the Steve Harvey Show here in Atlanta. While I love listening to Steve in the morning, I completely avoid the station in the afternoon when Michael is on. Not only is this man completely full of himself, but he has such an aught with the church and people of God that it's not even funny.

Me too, I just turn the station on my ride home or pop in a CD.
