Usually I absolutely HATE Valentine's Day since I've never actually been with someone on this day. I thought this year was going to be different b/c I was seeing this guy, we however have been fighting all week, and he's been incredibly mean to me (he told me to my face that I was not as smart as him among other things) So yea I pretty much told him to go to hell and i am no longer going with him to the date party tonight.
HOWEVER, I woke up this morning to one of my roommates saying "Come down you've got a surprise!" My brother, who is a 21 year old junior at the University of Nebraska Lincoln sent me a dozen pink roses! He said that since I didn't have a Valentine he wanted to send me something to make me . How AWESOME is that? So that totally made my day, plus I got a B on my psych test that I thought I totally failed, I got cute stuffed animals for all my roomies, and extra credit in all my classes since so many people decided to skip class. So all in all my day has been pretty spectacular for ONCE! I think I finally deserve a semi decent V-Day. To everyone who's having a bad day, cheer up, it can't be all that bad. Have a great day yall!

I concur with valkyrie...The Vagina Monologues are a great way to spend a V-day if you're single or attached. I'm not going to my school's performance this year, but I went my freshman year--it was an amazing experience and it got me hooked on discussing women's issues. If your school is sponsoring a performance--GO!
I am going to see Sleater-Kinney tonight with a group of women, even though I am still very involved with my partner. Womyn's music rocks!

My valentine's day started with being semi hung over from the party last night. Just an FYI........... STAY AWAY FROM CHEAP VODKA, BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tonight, my sisters and I who don't have boyfriends, are having a movie night and sleep over. Plan to watch movies, drink alcohol, eat, and have fun. Now we just need to hire a male stripper and we would be good LOL, J/K

Happy Single Awareness Day!
Actually I am kinda glad I am single this year. I was attached for the last two, and boy they sucked ass. My ex was as unromantic as they come in terms of gifts. Anyway.
I am kinda sad tho this year. All of my single friends were going to get dinner and then meet back up at someone's apartment, get plastered and watch cheesy movies and make fun of them. I had to come home for oral surgery. Fun for ME! (wasn't that bad tho... I was just on a dentist chair for two hours while they refaced all of my bottom teeth.)
My crush is actually down at a wedding in SoCal for an extended family member. THAT'S gotta be depressing.

Ok, So valentines day wasnt that bad...well kinda..
he showed up at my apartment with the prettiest roses that were light pink on the outside and deep red on the inside and on the tips of the petals..
he took me to this really nice tai resturant..and we got to talking...
he gave me all the wonderful things i wanted to hear..telling me i am the kind of girl he wants to spend the rest of his life with but that the timing of off and that we are still too young, he is being offered a promotion on monday and he said that if he accepts it ...it will be because of me..b/c im the only thing keeping him here..
whatever so we arent excatly breaking up but we are leaving the rest to fate, im just happy cause he isnt going to be leaving right away... but only time will tell..
but i dunno im a very confused girl!!! to stay or leave that is the question.....
my big sister had a shitty day though so after dinner we hit dennys for icecream and chocolate brownie... her date told her his eyes were itchy and that he was going to take a shower and get ready for bed and call her b4 he went to sleep..so she said ok..he never called..so she drove by his place to give him his brownies she had made for him and his card and guess what? his car was NOT there.... soooo she was kinda pissed... to say the least.. so we had an icecream fest..
i hope everyone else had a great anti-valentines day!!! i myself am happy that its FINALLY OVER!!! back to normal life now....

My boy and I are kinda in the same situation as you are, but in reverse. His birthday is a week after V-day. And actually, my blood sister's birthday is the week after his, so February is a big cash-spending month for me. But I don't mind at all.

My birthday is the day before Valentine's Day. The guy took me out to dinner on Friday. That was my gift. I wish that he gave me a present to open. Oh well.

Hi I just came back from an Anti-Valentine party and it was the best. I'm going to bed now. I still don't like Valentine's Day but the party was the best.
Bye

Valentine's Day . . . beyond the cutesy stuff I do (when I am dating) I normally focus on 20-30 minutes of hard core foreplay and then just go don on her for 5 or 6 hours.
But hey, I do that every day, especially first thing in the morning before she has work or school, oddly she seems to always be in a great mood.
But I guess because I do that every day, in fact sometimes 2 or 3 times daily, that makes me just lame?
Sigh, I'll get it right one of these days.
