NOT BOSTON COLLEGE

It's Boston University - I know you know this - but there's definitely a difference, and we HATE BC dude . . .

Also - your alpha chapter is doing really well; they're good guys, we hang with them a lot, very chill kids. Congrats LXAs - you're doing well at BU

According to my Zeta CD-Rom I got when I became a new member, the Alpha chapter of KD as well as a fraternity (can't remember which) helped out the ladies who founded the Alpha chapter of ZTA.

BrownEyedGirl: Zeta Tau Alpha's Alpha Chapter is at Longwood College in Farmville, Va. I believe Kappa Delta and Alpha Sigma Alpha were also founded there so they have three alpha chapters!

I think it's really neat that 4 chapters, all of whom are still active to my understanding, were founded at Longwood. What truly great women this college produced! I know that Kappa Sigma fraternity members were very influential in our founding, such as our constitution writing, our song etc. I'll bet that many of the sororities and fraternities in the area aided each other somewhat during that time.

As mentioned before, ASA is one of the "Farmville Four" founded at Longwood College in Farmville, VA. We were also the first NPC sorority founded in the 20th century.

The University of Minnesota...

...is where Alpha Sigma Kappa - Women in Technical Studies was founded, and continues to thrive. The Alpha Chapter was founded in 1989.

It's a Butler U thang!

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated was founded on November 12, 1922 on the campus of Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Yes, the Alpha chapter is alive and kicking!

Correct, as a student at Longwood and a member of one of it's Alpha chapters, I can tell you that all 4 (Kappa Delta, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Alpha Sigma Alpha... in founding order) are all still active and doing well... I think we'll all be around for a very long time.

It was a great honor for me to have been initiated into the Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at Howard University where we are home to 5 Alpha Chapters out of the 9 BGLOs. The other Alpha Chapters at HU include that of (in chronological order, all coming after AKA) Omega Psi Phi (F), Delta Sigma Theta (S), Phi Beta Sigma (F), and Zeta Phi Beta (S). Lots of love to all Alpha Chapter members regardless of your organization, we all have a great deal to uphold and the blessing of having tons history right on our campus. Have you ever noticed all the ivies on the campus of HU?!Its a beautiful thang!
