I was too tired to type last night lol
Okay so after reading these, my roommates may not be the absolute absolute worst in the world, but they're still pretty bad.
I live in a 4 bed/4 bath apt. on campus.
My school's housing dept. offers a complementary roommate matching service, at which they completely fail.
I will refer to my roommates as A, B, and C, because those are the rooms they live in. I live in D.
Okay.
I moved in early, about 2 weeks before school started. My room had already been cleaned bc whoever lived there before moved out before the semester ended. The common rooms (kitchen, living, dining) were absolutely disgusting. I was horrified. It looked as if a football team lived there. Turns out it was four girls, which is just nasty.
The day after I moved in, roomie B moved in. I had friend requested her on FB and thought she was a little, shall we say, eccentric, but that didn't bother me too much, and I found out that she listens to Mindless Self Indulgence which is one of my favorite bands and none of my friends had ever heard of them.
As she's moving in, I walk in the apartment and introduce myself to her, and the first thing she says is "Hey I was looking through that stuff in the living room and I found empty bottles of bourbon and handcuffs. I'm totally keeping the handcuffs!!!"
And I'm like, I KNOW this heifer did not go through that disgusting trash on the floor and is keeping some infected handcuffs she found!!
GROSS!!
And then I got to meet the wonderful boyfriend. Because he is just so much fun. Cue him moving in with us.
Then actual move in day comes around and A and C move in. Well, turns out that my three roommates are all friends with each other, are all definitely not my cup of tea, and are all juniors. I am a transfer sophomore and I didn't know anyone at my school. There is a small female population (we're the only girls on our entire floor) and all I could think about was that I'm not going to have any friends here bc apparently all the girls are like these three. haha.
RM A also had a boyfriend, who also moved in with us within a couple of days. So here I am living with 5 other ppl, I don't like any of them, and I am just miserable.
Thank the Lord for me being an Arch major and being in studio all the time and not having to be around those people.
Then recruitment season comes around, and I decide to rush.
That's when I found out that all of my roommates were hugely anti Greek, RM B particularly bc her boyfriend rushed and didn't get a bid.
I don't blame any of the fraternities.
And that's when I was pretty much harassed constantly. Whenever I came home from a recruitment event they would try to talk me out of rushing, trash talked every sorority woman they knew, told me I was gonna be a slut, and were just discouraging all around.
Nevermind that I'm already under enough stress from studio and rush.
Nevermind that I hardly even know these bitches.
Meanwhile, their true living habits started to show, and after a while the common areas looked the way they did when I first moved in. They were living in absolute filth, and would have company over and just SIT IN IT.
Fucking nasty.
We live on the second floor, and still managed to attract bugs from food left out.
The minute I saw them I moved everything I owned except refrigerated food into my room.
There would be saucepans on the coffee tables and dishes on the balcony just from where they had run out of places to eat and put stuff in the kitchen, crap all over the floors and trash EVERYWHERE.
I can honestly say that I contributed nothing to these messes, because I was either in studio or in my bedroom.
Since RM's A and B are vegans, they cook daily, and cook some pretty weird crap.
One of their favorite dishes smells like musty armpits when cooked.
It gets cooked a lot.
And the scent pervades EVERYTHING. I've never had to buy so much air freshener in my life!
One day I left my keys at studio, so I had to call housing to come unlock my doors for me. Our whole apartment smelled like body odor thanks to this wonderful dish of theirs. The housing lady's face scrunched up as soon as she walked in, and she left as soon as possible. I was SO embarrassed, because I'm sure that everytime she sees me she'll be like, oh that's the girl who lives in the musty apartment.
Anyway so I get increasingly fed up with each passing day, so I'm venting to some of my sisters about my roommate issues. Turns out one of them was RM B's RA last year, and has had to go through the same things with her. And apparently she ran for a Student Gov position last year, and was shot down by the Greek community, which kinda explains her hostility.
Let's jump to November, the weekend after Thanksgiving break.
It obviously isn't enough that I have to live with the dirties people in all of Marietta, listen to them have sex constantly, hear them rant and rave about Christians, put up with all their friends and boyfriends and random people they bring home trying to break into my room, listen to racist comments and people waking me up and them running up our electric bill every month, I also have to put up with a randomly adopted dog.
Now I love dogs, and this one was adorable, but he is HUGE and has no business trying to live in our small apartment. He tool up like every inch of available space, and it was just awful. On top of all that the guys across the hall from us found out about the dog, told our RA's, who in turn told Housing and they charged every resident $200 a day that he was there. HELL NO. Apparently no one knew that Housing knew the dog was there, I sure didn't, so we got charged everyday up until the new semester when RM A finally put him up a some guy's house. Thankfully Housing took the charge of my account.
From then on it's been all the same ish and it's only growing worse.
And when I got home today, there were unattractive naked freaks running around everywhere.
yep.
I cannot wait until our house is finished and I move in there with my sisters. I would rather move back home than to ever be forced to live with people I don't know. I will never ever again live with random people bc of my experiences with them.

My first freshman roommate was a hippie called, Hippie Bob. He decided that the summer of love never ended and love to walk around the hall naked with his girlfriend. Yes, he walked around naked. He also has a tendency to do his girlfriend while I'm in the room. Well, I didn't last a week before I jetted out of that room.
Unfortunately, my second roommate was worst. He stank bad, really bad. Was a big mess and had unwashed dishes all over the room. I had to wash 'em everyday cause they were stinking up the room. We had a bunk bed and I slept on the top. Well, while I was sleeping, the bed started to shake. So, I thought it was an earthquake (I know, no earthquakes in Buffalo) and went down. What did I see? The dude masturbating. Let's just say that I also jetted after a month with him and got myself a single.

So my freshman year, I moved into a freshman dorm with a girl I'll call TittyBob. TittyBob seemed okay at first, but she started to randomly say very threatening things. About how people who cross her "usually regret it very soon" and how if I did so she'd "cut me like a bitch". Red flags? I thought so. Soon later, my earrings and other small things like that started to go missing. Weird.
So it turns out my floor had a small fear of her, and I would mention to them that she scared the living shit out of me. Bad idea on my part, but I was a dumb freshman, what do I know? Anyway, TittyBob found out that I was terrified of her, so she pulled me aside and asked me if I "remembered what she did to the bitches who crossed her?" I was silent because...wouldn't you be? So she pulled out a switchblade and told me she wanted me to know she had one. I moved out that night. And she never got another roommate but was still allowed to live in the dorms for some reason. I see her on campus EVERYWHERE now.

My suitemates last year were all international students from different countries. It originally went very well as we were all learning how to work with each other and figure out this new place, or so I thought. About a month in, one of them decided to begin to throw parties even though she was underage. I mentioned that she was underage to her and her response was (and this is a direct quote) "I'm allowed to drink in my country and I am not going to listen to any stupid American rules." Well the continued for a couple of months until Thanksgiving when she somehow disappeared. Not like "Oh hey I'm moving out." like she was there one morning and when I return from class in the afternoon all of her stuff was gone. None of the other suitemates know where she went or even saw her leave. We got her mail till we moved out including her returned deposit from the apartment complex.
Another of the suitemates had a boyfriend back home, home being South Korea. She was 20 while he was 34 and from Canada. However he lived in Korea. Because of the time difference, she was on the phone with him at weird hours. How do I know this? Because I could hear her screaming and yelling at him through the living and kitchen area with closed doors. This suitemate also had a tendency of forgetting about food, like a pomegranate that was in the refrigerator for six months, leaving raw meat out on the counter over night, boiling soup for 45 minutes until I found it, etc. She also tried to freeze eggs. Not like cooked eggs, but eggs still in their shells. I don't know if the freezing broke the shell or if they just knocked against the freezer's walls and broke, but it was a mess to clean. Oh and she never cleaned. Her dishes were never done and she just left everything out. There would be garbage bags by the door that the other suitemate or I would have to take out and we would have to clean up after her or we couldn't cook anything.

Picture it: All-freshman girls' dorm, one shared bathroom per floor, two girls per room. Each room was tiny.
My first roommate, Anne, had stuffed Freddy Kruger dolls lining her shelves, desk, headboard, windowsills, etc... these creepy dolls were everywhere in our teeny-tiny room. If Anne had had her say, our window shades would be pulled down all the time, but I managed to convince her that one of the three windows was "mine", and that I wanted sunlight in our room, so I almost always kept one of the shades up. She stopped talking to me at that point. Not just the meh, I'm not going to engage in lengthy conversation kind of not talking, I mean the all-out never says a word kind of not talking.
I get back from class one afternoon and Anne is sitting on her bed, holding a roll of aluminum foil, and glaring at me. All her Freddy Kruger dolls had been moved from their original locations and were all surrounding her on the bed. She looked like she had assembled her army or something. I sat down at my desk to start studying and I hear this odd metallic ripping sound. I turn around and she's methodically ripping the aluminum foil into tiny pieces. One by one. And just dropping them on the floor. Never taking her eyes off me. Creeped me out something fierce.
Just so you know how this roommate from hell situation was resolved: By the time Melrose Place came on that night, my sisters had helped me moved all my stuff into another KD's room. She and I were roommates until she graduated two years later. She'll always be the sister who saved me!

I really hate my living situation right now. I'm in a five-person suite (3 singles and a double) with one bathroom. It is hell. In my room, (I'm in the double), I'm the only person with a trash can. I am also the only person who takes out the room trash. Also the other day my roommate decided to clean the floor and instead of telling me so I could clean up some of my stuff, just put all of my stuff on top of my comforter and left it there. This isn't the first time she has done this. Normally this is fine, but it is really passive aggressive and annoying of her to do this when I do clean up whenever she asks me to.
Our shower has only been cleaned once, by me, before winter break. There is hair sitting on the floor of our shower. I am the only blonde in the room. The hair is brown. It's not mine, bitches, clean up your own shit. Health and Safety inspections are this week and I'll probably be the only one to clean it, again. We have no trash can in our kitchen, and I'm again the only person who takes out that trash, and even buys trash bags for it. One of my suitemates has a live in boyfriend, and one I never see because she lives with her boyfriend at his house.
Needless to say, I'm really happy I'm House Mom next year so I have to live there.
Only two full months left until I get out of here!

Bitch used all of my Sea Salt. I buy the really expensive sea salt grinders so I expect a bottle to last me a while. It was all gone. At least she left the bottle in the cabinet. Behind all of my other spices. Don't mess with my spices. Drink my milk or eat my cereal, but God help you if I find you messing with my spices.

This wasn't my roommate, but still a good story.
My friend consolidated rooms with this quiet girl that she didn't know too well, but she seemed nice. She was really nice, but just real awkward. She also loved to read fanfiction. Not just the regular fanfiction, but the super wierd fanfiction porn! She would sit in bed all day and just giggle and sigh as she read these effing stories! She also asked my friend where she could get a new vibrator, because she had worn the motor in hers out (mind you, this was about four months after it was purchased). Whenever you would put the key in the door you would always hear her jump out of bed, and she'd be like "hold on!!" and you would walk in to her pulling her pants on. A very, VERY awkward experience that unfortunately, happened time and time again.
