I was not surprised that Crystal was the one to go home. I think her designs have all been vrey ho-hum.
Glad to see they gave Logan some more face time!
Did anyone else feel like we were being manipulated into liking Epperson with that phone call home and the tears?

I love Althea's suit, but Shirin's outfit was good also!

Yesss. Lol, I felt bad for him, but it just seemed unnecessary. Loved Althea's design though!
The model show seems to be getting better...but I still don't really see the point. (or maybe I've just been spoiled by earlier seasons of ANTM )

Is anyone else wondering what drugs the judges are smoking...?
The last two episodes I have been left scratching my head wondering why they like some of these designs. I didn't like any of the top three this week...I thought they all looked sloppy and that Epperson's dress looked like something a cheap prostitute would wear. Bleh.

Agree. I haven't watched the episode yet this week (on DVR, but there is football to watch today), but in Season 5, Kelli Martin was "aufed" too quickly. Terri Stevens, I could have done without (heard from those who work at Victoria Secret that she is a biotch). And then there was Suede: Sorry KSUViolet, but there are just no words for Suede.

I really like Christopher, Carol Hannah, and Althea so far. I'm not quite caught up yet on the episodes though, I think I have one more to watch.

So far I like Althea, Shirin, Christopher and Epperson. Although I didn't see the point in showing us him crying on the telephone.

Just started watching Project Runway
We didn't receive Bravo at our house, so I didn't start watching Project Runway until recently. As a straight man, I will admit that I don't understand all the fashion nuances, so I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can answe.
Who is Tim Gunn and why is he so important? To be honest, he reminds me of a high school art teacher or choir director. Did/does he have a major role in the fashion industry?
The judges keep saying that that ultimate put-down of a fashion is that it is wearable. From what I know about fashion (admittedly not much), there are only a few thousand women in the world who can afford haute coutoure and almost every designer makes his/her money in ready-to-wear and licensing.
Likewise with the models, I cannot say that I find many of them to be attractive. But from what I can gather, runway modeling is different than magazine modeling or catalog modeling or modeling for advertising. Am I wrong?
On a positive note, I would like to say that it is refreshing to see that the persons who are eliminated are treated with some dignity. When Heidi Klum and Mr. Gunn say their good byes to the soon to be departed, both are very gentle and encouraging in their remarks to the person who just has had his/her dream smashed.

Oh my gosh - poor Epperson. That thing was horrible! I was glad to see him go over Logan (who I have a small crush on!).
Is anyone starting to feel sorry for Christopher? He always gets crucified by the judges. And while I didn't LOVE his dress, I didn't think it was horrible.
I actually couldn't believe they liked that blue dress that Althea made - it was really awful but we hardly saw it in the episode, just when it went down the runway. I thought it was terrible, but they loved it!

I love Althea usually, but I hated her dress too!
Honestly, I don't know what it was, but I didn't really like anyone's outfit.

I really thought Logan should have gone home. Everything about his vest and pants was awful.
I didn't think Epperson's dress was so bad. The black torso part was pretty; and if it had had a different top portion/sleeve, I think it would have looked very nice.
