this is exactly why i wouldnt join one of these organizations. i couldnt deal with the constant disrespect. you guys think because you are already "in" that you can talk to others with an "im better than you" type of attitude. the info that i was seeking today was only to try and help a friend out (if you know anything about that). so thank you for your "input" but it is no longer needed.

NPHC orgs do not offer membership to those who aren't pursuing 4 year degrees.

Neither do NPCs.

I fail to see where anyone is being rude.

The answer was given on page one. The same answer is also on the websites.

Like I said in another thread, no matter who you ask or how many times you ask, the answer SHOULD be the same.

If it's not on the website, then your question will be ignored and is possibly delving into a sensitive area.

Accept it and move on until you become a member. Once that occurs, you will see why you received these answers from GC.

ok thanks for all the advice, the answers that were given were clear and helped a little. But on another note, if more info is needed in regards to this concern (in your honest opinion) should a letter be sent to the org asking this question? Because i know my bestie has been emailing and calling everyone she could get contact info for and she still was not able to actually speak to someone.

Writing letters/calling/emailing a sorority HQ concerning a policy is not a good idea.

The women who work at our HQs (both NPHC and NPC) are very busy. They typically don't have time to field PNM (or aspirant/interest) questions about our policies, especially if it's something that is in black and white on either the conference site or the national website. If you ask them about it, they'll just direct you BACK to the website.

Also, there's nothing to really clarify about who is eligible to seek membership. If you meet the criteria (at a 4 yr institution and full-time) you are eligible. If you are not, you are not eligible. If you contact our HQs, they'll tell you them same thing we told you here.
