She's not a Catholic reference, she's being tied to Mayan prophecies of the end of the world in 2012. (Hanna's been blogging again)

oooh...that would totally tie in the name. but come on...that crying mary...it's still there. but anyways my professor (who is an anthropologist of mayan studies) says that what many people fail to realize about the Mayan calendar is that they technically may have an "end" but their calenders are cyclical and they pick up another one (something to that degree anyways) so there isn't really an "end" except for those who fail to note that fact.

Very true, although the idea is that there is some sort of actual ending to them. And then a beginning again... but still an end of some sort.

I didn't associate it with Mary as she was crying black goo with black eyeballs... crying blood I might have wavered on, but i think it's more coincidental to the whole Catholicism thing. Particularly since people associate her with evil.

Claire, You're so lucky your lil toe grew back. Otherwise the kids would have gotten mighty suspicious when you never wore flip flops.

I am amazed by her (and Peter's) tolerance for pain.

Whether I was going to heal from it or not I'd be screaming!

I am thinking that her and Hiro's father were "elders" of the society that was started...and...I am thinking now that Hiro is the progenitor of that Society...did anyone pick up that dude had healing powers similar to Claire?

I wonder if he will be like a descendant or sumn?

Prediction: Hiro starts the 15th century version of the Japanese Justice League...hehehe

Does anyone think they have anything to do with the "company" that claire's dad was involved with, and that mohinder/parkman are trying to bring down?

Mrs. Patrelli already revealed that they "did something awful".....

The 'company' is probably a 'splinter' group..

This is kinda petty, but I'm going to put it out there anyway. What will happen to the toe Claire cut off? Surely it won't grow a foot, then leg, then torso, etc... right? I mean, we're not going to discover that Claire can essentially clone herself are we?

I'm not sure I'm a fan of Claire's new science buddy - Wes, is it? He seems pretty shady to me. I don't see him aligning with the right/good side in the long run.

I call the older Heroes "the cabal" and I think that there's some connection between the company and the cabal. Linderman was really the connection between the two.

However Kaito and Mama Petrelli didn't seem that involved in the company, so what was it they were doing that was so wrong? That someone would want revenge for.

Also, I <3 the whole twin powers thing.

It might just be that Alejandro is the one whose powers really matter here, and not that he's useless (like Zan was).

There would be a huge benefit in having a hero with the anti-power for most of the talents we've seen so far. (Bear with me, I haven't really thought this out very well.) If Alejandro can negate Maya's powers (retract the consequences, even), then maybe other heroes are out there who are also anti-powers. So, yin to Parkman's yang would be the power to plant thoughts into others' minds instead of receiving them; yin to radiation-man's yang would be, I dunno, someone who can turn themselves into a lead blanket or something. Time travel, self-healing, passing through solid objects, flying, etc... those powers are hard to think of anti-powers for, and might just be the proof I need to abandon this theory. But, I'll keep it in the back of my mind for a while.
