But Mrs. 1920, for this example it wouldnt it be 1 in 4 because that assumes that the births is a single birth. But because they are twins doesnt that make the odd much higher?

It is probably also noteworthy to mention that eye color is determined by not just one but at least three genes. So it is far more complex than what we are thinking. (this is coming from my line sister who is a geneticist; this is not my field)

If it were multiples, assuming they all split from one fertilized egg, they'd all be the same. Multiples from different eggs each have the same chance of expressing eye color.

If you receive an email claiming that Walker is gay and left his wife for a transvestite, please discard it. This rumor is not true. Who would want to hurt him? Denzel says he’s a big boy. He can handle all the negative talk, but he doesn’t like the effect it has on his family. For the record, he revealed there are no mistresses or secret babies.


The 37th Annual NAACP Image Awards air on Fox, March 3rd. Cuba Gooding, Jr. will be hosting. Special honorees include Carlos Santana, Susan L. Taylor and The Neville Brothers.

They could face three years in jail.


Pop Star George Michael says his recent arrest was his own fault. Michael was a pop sensation in the 80’s. This past weekend, he was just a former shell of himself when he was found slumped over the wheel of his car. Police found marijuana, tranquilizers and prescription pills in the car, and he was arrested. Michael is no stranger to getting arrested. Back in 1998, he was arrested for soliciting a cop. A lot of people want to help Michael. He suffers from depression, and he may be despondent over his love life. He was supposed to marry his longtime boyfriend earlier this year, but it never happened.

Your eye colour is derived from the pigments or lack thereof inside the iris of your eye.

So one would not have a simple 1:2:1 ratio breakdown according to Mendalian genetics.

It would be more like a 1:64 chance dealing with all genes to inherit the variances made in brown versus blue eye colour.

Skin color on the other hand may be a factor of epigenesis. Changes made to DNA due to chemical modifications--such as acetylation, deacetylation, deamination, racemization, isomeration, methylation, etc. Expression of a particular color locus gives the degrees of pigment aggregation within a melanocyte--or at least that's how the hair color loci operates on the Agouti locus in mice. If it's unmethylated, the mouse is brown, if it's methylated, the mouse is black. Albinism is a result of lack of any forms of melanin--eumelanin, phaseomelanin or trimelanin (I think).

I think the child in the picture who "appears" caucasian probably has a haplotypes differing from her "twin".

It is possible for a woman to have 2 oocytes and become impregnanted from 2 different men. If one of the men was not of African descent, this it is possible that the child was a result of that...

There is also "Rickett's Syndrome" that can shift the genes toward a lighter skin tone as well as finer hair. If those genes are passed, then that is another way.

Moreover, partial albinism may be the cause for that and many persons of African descent carry genes that can differentiate into those factors.

Either way, I find the information rather sketchy and may be a hoax.

I would have to see the hardcore sequencing data. And I would want to see a basic hap-map as well as any polymorphisms at certain genes.

Actress Tamala Jones graces the cover of the latest issue of the men's magazine 'SMOOTH' and in the piece, penned by this columnist; Jones has some choice words for syndicated radio talent Wendy Williams. While Jones is quite clear about her disdain for the New York City-based shock jock, the comments that weren't included in the article make what Jones said in the piece look mild in comparison.

In the eight-page spread, Jones acknowledged that it was Williams who caused singer-rapper Nate Dogg to call off their engagement. "That little s-t Wendy Williams has never met me. She's never sat down and said, 'Tamala let me get an interview with you.' I understand she's like a gossip person, but even the ones that write in the tabloids and even the ones that really want the story are classy. She's a classless woman who doesn't even know by her mouth what she can do to a person's life. Forget the relationship, what she can do to a person's life. She doesn't even know how much s-t she's done contributed to that's been messed up for me based on her comments that are not fact," says Jones.

Jones adds she doesn't know how a person she's never met nor had a conversation with could create stories about her and tell them like they are fact. "She doesn't know anything about me. I can see if she'd hung out with me or had firsthand knowledge, but some of the s-t that she says about me, like, 'Tamala's like a doorknob, everybody's gotten a turn.' B-h, you really don't know me," rages Jones. "She's basically saying that everyone I've worked with I've f-ked. That's a damn lie! She's lucky he's forgiven her, but other people may not have that same forgiveness. LONDON (Mar. 1) - Two security guards were shot at a Kanye West concert in Birmingham after a man tried to get in without a ticket, police said on Wednesday.

The shootings occurred at the front entrance of the NEC Arena at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday during an altercation between the guards and a man who was refused entry to the Grammy-award winner's show, West Midlands police said.

Detective Inspector Ian Grant said several shots, believed to have been from a handgun, had been fired.

One of the guards was in hospital in a serious condition but the other had been discharged after treatment.

"At this early stage, the motive for the shooting remains unclear but there appears to have been some sort of dispute about gaining entry to the concert," Grant said.

A man and a woman have been held in connection with the incident.

Tuesday's concert was the last in by U.S. rapper West's tour of Britain. He is due to perform in Milan on Thursday.
