Because some people like to create trouble, that's why....and other people just want to hear opinions, even if they know that most of them won't agree.

My condolences then. I really think you've made a bad move.

ETA: I hope you've added a disclaimer regarding the AI process. I'd hate for any of your readers to think that this is what really happens when a woman decides to pursue membership this way.

Oh, I forgot this was the short people's rights person. I expect we'll see this book at our local Barnes and Noble around the same time her pet poodle AIs.

I don't think I'd read it. It sounds boring.

I don't think your average American reader would buy it. In order to be interested in the story, you'd have to know what AI is. Most GREEKS don't know what AI is so I don't expect any guy on the street to know either. The average American barely knows what sororities and fraternities are (outside of what they see in TV/movies).

Darn it OTW... I was going to title my first book, "Sorority Shopping!"

You've crushed my dream... I'm going to go and cry myself to sleep now.

It's hard to tell exactly what you mean when you say that it would be about AI; though, in a later post you say that it is not a main subject or subplot. If AI was the main story, it may be too hard to follow as most people are not familiar with the concept at all. However, I suppose it could be interesting depending on how it was woven into the story.

For example, take a story about a young-ish woman's rebellion and rejection of her family's and her own values. As she struggles to find her place in life, she eventually comes to understand and accept the wisdom of those previously discarded life viewpoints. I could possibly see a reference to initiating into her mother's sorority as some kind of analogy for her "coming home" and for an acceptance of the "wisdom of the ages".

I'm just kind of winging it here, making up a storyline off of the top of my head; so, please forgive me if I'm not making sense. LOL I think AI could be used as a 'plot point' if done correctly to advance the story....but probably not a whole book.

No matter what, good luck to you on your project! It's tough to create something like a novel and then, after putting so much personal investment into it, to put it out there for the public.

.....Kelly
