My school kicks ass in the NAIA -- it's considering moving up to D-I so it can be fodder for state schools.

NAIA to Div. 1??? that is a big jump...are you sure it isnt Div II or III?

Positive. They were D-1 once, and they do have D-1 money. The school has won and always contends for the NAIA NC. I don't think they'd be ultra-competitive in D-1, but could probably be competitive with some mid-majors.

I have been raised on Duke basketball, so I know just how rare it is for a visiting school to come in Cameron and win a game. I had just called a friend to console her about Tech losing the football game last night, and tell her that Va. Tech was doing something considered near impossible unless a miracle happened.
THANK GOODNESS Dockery hit that last shot. Definitely one for the highlight's reel! We are still in shock over here....

I have the chance to go to the Jimmy V Classic doubleheader tomorrow night. It's Kansas VS Saint Joseph’s & Michigan State VS Boston College. But I'm undecided if I should go or not. Sigh. The charity cause is worth going but I'd like to enjoy a good game if possible to. Or am I gonna be disappointed?

Kansas-St. Joes should be a pretty good game...Kansas hasnt done a lot this season...loss to Nevada last week and only won one game in Maui I believe against Div II Chaminade so they arent the typical Kansas powerhouse. St. Joes lost their best player off of a team that finished 2nd in the NIT (to my Gamecocks)...dont know a whole lot about either team but it should be a competitive game. The MSU-BC game looks one sided comparing the histories of the two schools but I dont know enough about either to say whether that will hold up this year or not.

Go - it's always a good tournament, and those are both good games.

If I was in your situation, I would definitely be going. But then again, I am a little biased to one of those teams and love to see them play

Games for Jimmy V Classic were fun. First time ever seeing college basketball!
Caught the last 5minutes (which felt like an hour) of the Kansas- St Joe's game & the first half of the MSU - BC game. Good times.
GO GREEN!

They got lucky winning the Horizon League last year. They might repeat but I doubt it. Until then, It's Butler / Detroit. and I know CSU may not make it in the Horizon League tournament this year.
not enough talent.
