Here I some of my broken heart band-aids.........
1. No Happy Holidays - Mary J. Blige my favorite
2. Let It Flow - Toni Braxton
3. Don't Waste My Time - Mary J. Blige
4. Love - Misque
5. The Love I Never Had - Mary J. Blige
6. Not Lookin' - Mary J. Blige & K-Ci Haley
7. Put That on Everything - Brandy
8. Never Say Never - Brandy
9. Musiq-love, 143
10. When It Hurts So Bad - Lauryn Hill
I just wanted to share the lyrics from my favorite song with you all......
No Happy Holidays
I can't believe
After all this time
I'm in love with a man
Who can never be mine
And just to think
I believed one day you'd really leave
Like you said you would
Cause you don't love her
But your little girl really needs you, oh
Chorus:
Christmas you weren't with me
On New Year's Eve you were not around
Valentine came and went
Makes me wonder where your time was spent
No fireworks on the Fourth of July
Thanksgiving was another lie
Your family has never met me
And you've never met mine
No happy holiday
I got to let go of this feeling
Being with you deprives me of true love
I can't fathom living this life
Without being number one
This is finally goodbye
I pray to God you live a happy life
Cause loving you just ain't right
Chorus
I wish I had known
The situation from the start
Now it's complicated because
I gave you my heart
Honestly I held on
For my ego, my pride
But what goes around comes around
But maybe next time I'll be on the other side
As you can tell Mary J. Blige is my favorite artist because I feel exactly what she's singing about....These are only a few of my favorites.......

I don't know how familiar you may be with Alanis Morrisette, but "You Oughtta Know" off of her first album is a really good "I'm angry, and I should break all of your stuff, you rotten troll" type song.

Why is "bitter" my CUT? Even one of my profs said to me," Why is that when I see you, that Chante Moore song comes to my head?" We're cool, so I just LOL.
Anywho, I just called it quits with the dating scene here, so there'll be no getting back into it. People scoff, but I really don't think my soul mate is here. Even the guys I think are nice have something serious wrong with them. I digress.
But two more songs I like are "Cool As I Am" by Dar Williams, and that song by Monifah (I think it's her) called "I Can Tell."

My picks.....
" I Will Survive" the Shantay Savage version........
"Let's just kiss and say good-bye" the Manhattens" (I may have spelled that wrong but ya'll know the song)
One of my favorites is I'll do Anything for you" by Gloria Estefan
here's a quote from the song
" I'll do anything for you....but give you up...thats what I should do....to make you happy.....I can pretend each time I see you, that I don't care and I don't need you...... and though you'll never let see me crying...I know inside I feel like dying....I hope you find someone to please you..someone who cares and really needs you...but if that someone ever hurts you...and you need a friend to turn to.....I'd still do anything for you...."
(this is deep sistasfriends...I've been there!!!)
"Ex-Factor" by Lauren Hill
"You oughta to know" by Alantis Morrisette
I probably could name a hundred more because I love music so much but last I'll put a new joint.....it's #4 on Heather Headley's CD and I believe its called "I Wish"
I hope none of my Sorors or Sistafriends needs this list right now but if so I say "*@#! em girl, he didn't deserve you anyway!"

I like Shantay's version as well.
Also, I liked "Anything for you." I loved the end where those "horns" were playing...
A few songs on Blu Cantrell's CD. I'm sorry, I don't know the titles, but If you have the CD, you know what I'm talking about...
