Ditto on "the Scream" by Edvard Munch, even though I had that painting on my to-see list (well, hope they will recover it soon, otherwise my list would not ever be completed ) I even had Oslo on my summer '05 visit just to see it.

I am surprised nobody mentioned Dali. "Hate" is not the word to describe my feeling towards Dalis', but they just make me unconfortable.

Monalisa was stolen three times throughout the history, and everytime it was stolen, the thief cut out the painting off the frame. That's why it is so small now. Our hope is Monalisa not ever get stolen again, otherwise the only thing left is just a pair of lips.

/hijack I always cringe when I saw the Whitestrip commercial on TV, when the tour guide show everybody "the Monalisa". The painting looks so huge and unprotected, definetely not a Louvre thing to do.
