I know, I agree with this! My roomie (who was initiated last fall) wrote me a sweet letter last night that said that she knows my week has been not so hot and she cares about me. I guess I crave that bond that comes with time and I need to be a patient adpi! lol. Thanks ladies for supporting me and being here when I'm going through these rough times. this is the first time i've posted to this site, so i have no idea how to private message you or i would! i will go ahead and say that what really disturbs me about your original post is that you are getting no support - and in fact rejection - from your advisors. i am currently a chapter advisor and can assure you that in no way would a woman be held from initiation because of an eating disorder. in fact, your advisors should be at the top of your support list!

sounds like you are getting tons of love and support from your online sisters - that's what i love about this organization! we truly live for each other....

Katie, you describe exactly what I'm going through. Not everyone is outgoing and instantly makes friends with the sisters. In my experience the more you feel this way the more you isolate yourself. It all pretty much boils down to self-esteem issues which you might want to talk to a professional about. I myself am doing it. Just remember that as an ADPi you are loved and have a network of sisters who care about you.
