Rainman - Most certainly I can answer yes to your question. I'm already married and I thank God daily for blessing me with this man. He is a saved and sanctified man of God. A woman can't say that she wants a Christian man if she hasn't studied the Word of God and knows exactly what that entails. Likewise, she must study the Word and understand what her role is in the relationship as well. I would have it no other way.

Some women say that they want a Christian man simply because they want someone who won't cheat on them, will take care of the household, children, etc. They are missing the bigger picture though.

I won't quote these scriptures, but anyone seeking marriage should truly understand the following scriptures:
Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:21-33; 1 Corinthians 13:4-7,13; Provervs 18:22

The following text is from a bible study that I attended last week where we discussed this topic.....
1. The ROOT of marriage is God's covenant with humankind that extends to us the opportunity to experience His perfect love.

2. The REQUIREMENT of marriage is that husband and wife submit to each other in love even as they do to the Lord.

3. The intended REWARD of marriage is an enriching relationship that provides both husband and wife with concrete evidence of the constancy of God's magnificent love.

I'll leave you with this...
"As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15)

May your marriage be fruitful, and you glory be to God. 'Nuff said.

FIRST and foremost He MUST be a hard worker. I have met very intelligent people who don't work up to their potential....

Honesty and everything else is important but I do feel everyone lies sometime....

Provider

Can you go out there and make us some money when a hurricane, tornado, monsoon or something strikes and the banks are CLOSED AND the atm machines are down?

Can you go out there and make us some endz (chop some wood or summin) to survive until the all clear signal is given?

Can you build my house? Can you fix my car?

Plus what everyone else said. That's cool too!

You all don't follow my rules when I ask for ONE or THREE things, so why should I?

Okay, Dreamful One (and Prayerfull) now at this point I gotta ask the question:

Are you sure that you truly want a man of God?

I ask this b/c last night the woman who I was courting ended the courtship b/c (among other things) I was too spiritual and wanted everything to be biblically based as opposed to just letting everything be (whatever that means). Now when we met she said she must have a saved, sanctified man of God--she's a minister's daughter, and active in the church. Now I am not upset with her for breaking it off--I'm glad she did.

So I say all that to say that I have learned to exercise a "healthy" skepticism when I meet women who say the man they want must be a man of God, because unless they understand what a true man of God entails, they will be disappointed, frustrated, and "run away".

Being a wife to a man of God is much like being the wife of a mayor, governor, or president: sure there is some prestige and honor that goes with it, but not every woman is fit or qualified to be a wife to one because they don't fully understand the requirements and responsibilities that goes with it.

My .25

Thumbs up

Ambition Ambition Ambition Ambition is all that I require. Due to the laws of attractiveness (psych major in da house) the BROTHER is already fine, intelligent, and well preserved with only a higher power feared. However, with all of that in the bank, if the brother lacks ambition he has GOT to GO! Something about me won't let me settle for less; and I won't apologize for it!
