Ahhh...that could've been the culprit. They're Christian, and practicing Christians, unlike me. Sometimes I think young practicing Christians rush marriage so they "smash" w/o feeling guilty, lol.

I have a friend who starts talking marriage within the first month she's with a guy! That's nuts! (Of course said friend has been DESPERATE to get married since high school. Hasn't happened though.)

You won't believe how many people, after my boyfriend and I broke up after five and a half years, thought it was because HE wasn't ready to marry ME. It was like they couldn't comprehend that it could possibly be the other way around! (Which it was.)

I cosign on this thread. If I had married my ex-boyfriend right after college I would not be where I am today...happy, and in a great career. I'm 28, and I've been with my BF for 4 years and we aren't married and I'm ok with that. I want to get married eventually. Thankfully many of my friends are like me...old spinsters!
