here's an activity: potting violets and/or other plants to take to the local hospital, or decorating little pots to plant them in later. walmart and other chain stores or a nursery have those tiny clay pots that you can get pretty cheap... look into donations from a local nursery since it's for non-profit use if you don't have the budget for supplies, and make sure their name gets used too. (make sure whomever asks for the donation is Good at that type of thing). if it's too messy to pot the plants, you can just decorate the pots and let the girls know that they'll be used for plants to deliver later. (have a display of potted violets and plants set up with the refresments or as centerpieces where you're working).
