DISCLAIMER: this is kinda gross

to be 10 years old and have visits from the monthly friend- that is just asking for embarassment..

one day, i had to go change into my p.e. uniform, which was a blue t shirt and cullottes. anyway, on my way to the bathroom, my friend runs up to me with wide eyes. she said, 'there is a spot on the back of your skirt.' totally freaking out, i speed up to the bathroom. as i change into my p.e. clothes, i notice that i do have a problem. i am almost near tears at this point. meanwhile, my friend has gotten her mother which was the p.e. teacher's assistant. she knew what was happening. she told me that i can go sit with her during p.e. class. so i go sit down. all the students was like 'why does she get to sit out?! she doesnt even look sick.'
one really snotty girl kept calling me teacher's pet and then later she found out somehow what was going on. she came up to me saying, 'oh you're on your period.' i wanted to go home and never come back.

Similar to xo85xo's story....

This has to be in like 1st or 2nd grade.... running laps around the gym, and this one girl (I still remember her name!) bumped me to get me out of her way. Of course I fell over and skidded face first into the concrete wall. Broke my glasses, nearly broke my nose, and had two black eyes to show for it.

In high school....

We had single-sex gym, except for one unit... FOOTBALL! (Whose crazy idea was that?) I hated gym, but I wanted to be "cool" for the boys, so I decided to play as hard as I could. The boys team had the ball, and I had a clear line towards the receiver. So I took off at top speed to "tackle" him (we were playing touch football, of course).... and the next thing I knew I was flying up in the air. When he went to block me, I was coming so fast that he overestimated the strength he'd need and flipped me up in the air with his block. I, of course, got knocked out cold, and the next thing I remembered was the whole gym class looking down at me, and the guy (who was by no means a star athlete himself) just saying "I am SOOOO sorry!"

He was really, really nice to me the rest of the year, though And I'm pretty sure they don't play ANY co-ed sports anymore!

When I was in 3rd grade we had this obsticle course at a jungle gym. We were like competing in teams for the lowest times. I was taunting the other teams, I told them that they were going to lose, and we were the best etc. etc. When it was my turn to go, I zipped through most of the course pretty fast. Back then I was a pretty good acrobat. Towards the end, I got this "smart" idea to show off in front of everyone, so I attempted to turn a flip towards the end of the last station. I "wiped out" on the flip HARD, I like lost my balance or something. It gets worse....during the wipe out, I tooted. I laid there like five minutes in pain after the fall...while my PE teacher chewed me out. Everyone thought it was absoulutely hilarious.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Don't shit talk until AFTER your performances.

Ouch

When I was in the 5th grade my best friend and I were having contests on the bars after we ran the mile.I was exhausted but did it anyways and part way into it the skin on the palm of my hand ripped off the size of a quarter and I lost balance and went face first into the side bar. I was so embarrased that I wanted to just get back up and start again but my best friend was yelling at me to sit down. It only took a couple seconds for me to realize that blood was dripping down my face. I put a hefty gash above my eye and had to get stitches. I never played on the bars again

in 5th grade, we were playing kick ball, and I while I was in line to kick the ball, I was talking to my best friend Amanda. I was telling her how cute the pitcher was and that I was going to kick it far to impress him.. well, when my turn came up, I kicked with so much force, I missed the ball I was supposed to kick, and ended up making myself fall flat on my back... it's pretty hilarious looking back, but I was completely mortified when it happened. I'll never forget my best friend Amanda telling me, "Well, at least you know he noticed you"

This is not one particular story as much as a story of years of humiliation. I have never ever been a small girl and I blossomed early. When I was at the Catholic grade school we got this TROLL of a gym teacher who was heinously mean to me. She yelled at me for running too slow and being clumsy and big. You try having boobs in the fourth grade! My parents actually had to do some mediation thing with her and it still didn't improve the situation. One year I ran the mile in like 15:57 or something atrocious like that and she was making fun of me so badly that I cried and didn't eat for days because I thought I was too fat to even move.

Fast forward about 6 years later - the troll lady is a cross-country coach for one of our rival high schools. I was on the JV team because I was still large and not a good runner, but much better - I have never ran so aggressively in my life. I passed up almost every single girl from her high school that was in my race, ran one of my best times ever, and then, because I am a jerk, went up to her after the race and said "Still think I'm fat and won't be good at sports now?"

I HATED that troll lady. It took everything in me to not send her the captain's picture (cover of a calender for our high school that goes out to all the people in the community) and circle the picture of me looking all jocky.

A jerk???? I think NOT! I would have done the same thing! And good for you for taking up crosscountry running - that is one grueling sport

cross-country is not a sport.

My grade school was pretty old so they never had locker rooms. On gym day you had to wear your uniform under your regular clothes. Imagine my embarrassment when taking off my pants I actually took off my gym shorts too! Only a few people saw me in my Wednesday panties on a Tuesday but all those that did were cute guys but they didn't razz me too much about what happened. I look back now and laugh. When it happened I wanted to transfer for like a month.

Not an "embarrassing PE moment" but a "PE teacher from hell story" -

Back in elementary school, we had PE once a week. Our teacher was this SOB who I suspect was frustrated that he couldn't get a full-time job... so he took it out on us.

Every gym class began with jogging, push-ups, more jogging, and situps. If he wasn't satisfied with the performance of even one kid, we had to do the whole set again. All of us. And he always played the same crappy music... to this day I cringe when I hear it.

I once got hit in the face with a basketball thrown with full force. Now that HURTS! And my glasses broke. So I did what any normal 7-year-old would do... I cried. Did he send me to the nurse? NO... he made me sit outside the gym for the rest of the class, because "no one wants to see your ugly crying face."

We were supposed to remove any jewelry before going to gym. One day, one of my classmates had forgotten to take off her watch. So at the start of class, she said "Can I put my watch aside?" He said, "I don't know." So she got up to put her watch aside, and he told her to sit back down because she hadn't been given permission to get up. Apparently he was fancying himself an English teacher, because he then told her that she should have said, "May I get up?" and that by asking "Can..." she had really been asking "Do I have the physical ability to..." and he didn't know whether she did or not.

Thank the Lord we only had to deal with him once a week.

sophomore year of high school....all we seemed to do was basketball.

which is not something i am good at. i loathed sports in high school.

one of our activities was a "relay race" where you went around the gym and did a lay-up shot at each of the hoops. you had to stay at one hoop until you got the ball in, then move to the next, etc. i was the second person on my team to go. everybody else was going very quickly, making the shots on either the first or second try. i was failing miserably. it took me like fifteen tried to get it into the first hoop. i never made it past the second hoop. *all* of the other teams went past me and finished. the teacher did not let me stop. i had to stay at the second hoop attempting the shot until the dismissal bell rang.

that was, without a doubt, the worst day of my life. what was worse was the anger and hatred from my "teammates" from the race. after that day, one girl would repeatedly throw basketballs at the back of my head when i wasn't looking. the teacher didn't do anything, and i took to staying at the edges of the gym.

and we met everyday, so that suxored major league.

ever since that class, i have never played basketball.
