I agree it's kinda offensive. It's an honor, priveledge, and responsibility to carefully choose who wears the AOII letters. And it offends me that someone could be closely immitating AOII and not presenting her values.

Ladies, I've edited this thread to remove the off-topic tangent conversation. If anyone is so inclined, the Alpha Xi Delta official flower is the Pink Killarney Rose (with hugs to AZ-Alpha Xi!!!)

Sounds to me like a bunch of girls that wanted to be AOIIs, but couldn't so they created the closest thing to it.I mean honestly how do you explain something like that. It isn't JUST coincidence. At least, I don't think so.

A litele more info

Just joined greek chat, but thought I would throw in my 2 cents...

The "motto" of Alpha Omega Pi is the exact same as Omega Upsilon's submotto.

Also, the name of the advisor of this group is matches the name of an AOTT alumna. So if thier advisor is an alumna of AOII, I would have to say that at least this group has great taste!

After sitting on this topic for quite some time, I've changed my mind, especially after you posted this. I guess it is some form of flattery. I was upset at first, but realized that maybe these women just really want to be AOII's. I'm glad about that! It's just a shame that there isn't an active chapter on that campus. Hopefully one day there will be.
