I had such a great time in Charleston during the day... it's so beautiful there! But in the nighttime, I was just crawling the walls looking for something to do without a car. We actually went to a couple bar/restaurants that would have been fun, if we had gone around 10. But we went there to eat at 7:00 instead. It was downright ridiculous! Too bad we weren't going to be there the following week, we are going to miss the Pi Kapp Toga Party Not that these girls would put on a toga...
Oh, and I'm a Phi Mu at UNC Greensboro.

Hey, have any of you had the unfortune of having an anti-social friend...or worse, having a whole DAMN CIRCLE of them? I was odd man out with my group too, but it was based on Country Rock vs... Disco We just had different tastes.
What's up w/ young people who consider "a good night out" eating at Denny's, having card parties (w/out the alcohol and gossip, librasoul ), or playing the guitar until 2am (corny a$$ songs too)? You're not 90 years old!!! You never would have made it in the 70's... This would have been an EXCEPTIONAL night. In fact, it would be an exceptional night for me NOW!
I'm an ex-sorority girl, I used to stay out until 6 in the morning, I'm not used to people like this. What the hell is wrong w/ people like that? If you've been there, can you give me some advice how to get your boring and/or antisocial buds to do something "normal"? Find some people in a band!

You know I'm kidding
It's the pot calling the kettle black for an Okie to say Kansas is boring.

I will take the opposing side and just state from my PERSONAL experience. It's not that I am anti-social AT ALL, but I used to get very anxious in social situations, such as at bars, parties, and in large crowds. Now, I have more confidence and I LOVE going out to dinner with my group of friends, or to the movies, roller skating, hiking, you name it, I will ty it....Let me put it this way: when it comes to my group, I am the social planner. I relish any and all opportunities to get out and be with my friends (hell I went out last night and I'm going out tonight), but I still have to get "mentally prepared" to hit any place that potentially has a "meat market" sort of environment....
