Anti-social a$$ people

Hey, have any of you had the unfortune of having an anti-social friend...or worse, having a whole DAMN CIRCLE of them?

What's up w/ young people who consider "a good night out" eating at Denny's, having card parties (w/out the alcohol and gossip, librasoul ;) ), or playing the guitar until 2am (corny a$$ songs too)? You're not 90 years old!!!

I think it would've been easier to pull out ALL of my teeth than to get someone go to a good movie tonight. Finally I talked someone into going, just an hour ago.

I'm an ex-sorority girl, I used to stay out until 6 in the morning, I'm not used to people like this.

What the hell is wrong w/ people like that? If you've been there, can you give me some advice how to get your boring and/or antisocial buds to do something "normal"?

Maybe you should pledge again. :) That way you will have many more options for a social life.

Maybe try bargaining with them..."Ok, I'll play cards with you tonight. But only if come to that movie I want to see with me tomorrow."

Or find new friends.

Or pledge again. :)

Could be because you're in Kansas;)

Where in Heaven's name did you find these people??? I'm picturing several foursomes of twenty year-olds in argyle
sweater vests sipping O'Douls and playing Bridge.

And I don't like it, nope, I don't like it one bit

Dionysus... time to get some new friends!

I mean, I like staying in ONCE IN AWHILE... but not every night, and certainly not playing cheesy-ass songs on the guitar!

Maybe you could bring some liquor to the festivities next time... it sounds like these might be the type of friends to get drunk real quick!

AlphaSigLana 03-14-2003 10:39 PM

Well If I had money I'd go hang out with you-- I would love to go see a movie. What state are you in?
Maybe you need to find some different groups to hang out with so you can actually have fun.

XOMichelle 03-14-2003 10:45 PM

Maybe AlphaSigLana hit on something- are they broke?

If you ever drag your butt to KANSAS, you got a place to stay!:)

I know the feeling...

I went to Charleston for Spring Break with one of my good friends, and two of HER friends that I casually knew, but am not close friends with. I was under the impression that since we are 20 years old, we might want to stay out past 10:00 pm. I was wrong. Every night we came home early and I totally missed any bars, clubs, hot night spots that Charleston may have to offer. These other two girls were TOTAL old ladies... I felt as if everything I said was being monitored for "inappropriateness".

:(

But I'm a fun time... so I still had a good vacation :p

I have some friends like that at home, and their honest to goodness idea of a good time is playing a board game. Luckily, I get to drive 6 hours from them, be at school and go out with people who know how to party! It's hard to visit them at home, because I know they will never go out to the bar or club with me, no matter how hard I try...

AXJules 03-15-2003 01:34 AM

Um yeah know the feeling.....

My best friend from home, love her to death but she's more like my sister than anything else.

Any of you that know me, know I will never pass up a night to go clubbing.

She has never come with me to a club, even a TEEN CLUB when we were like 16, because she says my friends are 'trashy'. Um yeah thanks, b/c your pot-smoking, corderoy wearing, dread-headed hippie friends that pass out before 10 PM are the classiest, right????
