It sounds inane, but, when you have a Big Board on the Lawn of your House and it is in the coldness of Late Fall or Early winter (BRR) the steam rises and makes great PR Pics for Media.
We always ask a Soroity to participate to get PR too.
Big Board is to list contributors, say for the Hot Tub, Food places, people who give money, donate cannned goods, clothes or what ever.
Have a well known charity, local pref.
Really needs to be on a main drag for people driving buy.
People will laugh not donate, but others think it is funny and will donate.
LXA has several at Local Chapters, Teeter Totter - A - Thon, or Water Melon Bust.
SX has Derby Days, one of the best known in Greekdom!
Remember, no matter what you do, it shows that Greeks are trying to do good things!
