I'm so glad Cookie came home. My beautiful Mischa disappeared 2 1/2 years ago and I am still not over it. He was always the best kitty.....he ran outside all the time except at night and no matter what time of day, if you went out and called him, he'd come running like a dog. And if he didn't come in at night when we called him and we got mad and shut him out, he would come sit under my window and cry until I came down and got him. I want another kitty so bad.....none could be like my Mischkabibbles but I am a cat person (and a dog person) and I always will be.

He was so beautiful.....medium sized, with long, silky jet-black hair without a spot of any other color. He had gorgeous yellow eyes and a precious face that was just slightly squished in like a persian but not as flat.....his face reminded me of a little owl. He rocked. And what a lover!!!!!! He just lived to be cuddled and loved.

Now I miss my first kitty. His name was tiger and he was friends with my much beloved cocker spaniel lady. When Lady died he went looking for her (at least I like to think that he did) and never came back now I miss them both.

even though i now hate and am sooo scared of cats.... when i was younger my next door neighbor's cat had kittens. I thought they were sooo cute and wanted one so bad! My mom dislikes cats so she said i could have one but he would have to live outside, so i got a kitten. Well my house was the last one on the street and we had a big tree next to us. Well turns out, a lot of mockingbirds lived in that tree. Everytime my poor kitty would walk in front of that tree, the mockingbirds would go and peck on him! One day we walked out and there were pieces of his fur on our lawn and we never ever saw him again! it was such a sad time, so we either figured the birds pecked him to death or he left, but im pretty sure the birds did it. Although its a sad story people laugh when i tell them because they dont think a bird could kill a cat, but it was still a kitten so i believe it!

to erika and billy and those of you who have missing pets-

gosh, i am so sorry. that is awful. i really know how you feel. maybe someone took them in and they are lounging in front of a fireplace somewhere eating gourmet food.

to those of you with cats--

please don't ever let your cat live outdoors. they live shorter lives and risk their lives everyday. cars, wild animals, crazy kids and pesticides are only some of the dangers they face.

cats don't belong outside. ever.

please have a heart and keep them in. even if they beg to go out. they will thank you for it. i promise

just in case your pets get lost again -- ask your vet about having it microchiped - it costs about 50 bucks

but all animal shelters and vet hospitals scan the animals for microchips

these are permanant identifications for your pets

My roomie who works for a vet reunited a family with their dog who had been missing for 2 years!!

so microchips work!!

its money well spent

They have them for kids yet? That would be a useful and obvious idea.
