A-Phi at my school is awesome. Really spirited, nice girls. Would say that they are in the top 3.

Alpha Phi at SU is what other sororites want to be and what all fraternities want to BE WITH. An outstanding group of girls! Such sweeties! I miss a lot of them.

Well the APhis at Kent were certainly part of the top 3....they were probably our biggest rival when I was in school. We got along with DG pretty well for the most part, but relations between Chi O and APhi were strained to say the least. They had a lot of really great-looking girls who dressed well, drove nice cars, etc. but they had a bit of a "reputation" and were not known as the nicest girls. They also had a lot of problems with grades, etc. I think it is still pretty much the same, I know they are still a very popular chapter with the PNMs. I believe nationally they are pretty strong but it is hard for me to be objective because I had a lot of negative personal experience with them.

Alpha Phi here at Long Beach State has changed quite a bit in the past few years. Back in the day (when i pledged) they were known as a very strong, but small house. In the past few years, they have definitely grown leaps and bounds in numbers, but seemed to have lost some of the quality that they used to pull in.
Other than that they seem to be really nice, sweet girls. I was a little bit disappointed this past year, because not one of them attended our dessert night, Sweets with Sigma Kappa, even though they only live two doors down from us (and Long Beach doesn't have a greek row!)
Other than that, great girls.

At Western Michigan University, they seem to be popular among the Greeks, but they are antisocial when it comes to our house. They are the only sorority who does not ever participate in our powder-puff (sorority football charity fundraiser), which they have not participated in within the last four years (even though they promise to). Just as sad is the fact that they live a stone throw away and we seem to be the only fraternity in fraternity village that they don’t want to know. There has never been an incident between our houses and it just seems like they act as if we aren’t worth the time. One of my brothers does date an Alpha Phi that he met through work, and she is very nice, too bad it doesn’t run in the sisterhood. I don’t mean to be rude, I’m just stating the facts!

No Alpha Phi chapter at FSU. But...one of my friends/service sorority sisters is an Alpha Phi who transferred (I can't remember from which school). She is one of the most outstanding people ever! Bright, creative, funny, talented and such a genuinely good person. I had never heard of Alpha Phi before then but she is a wonderful representation of your sisterhood

check under Northeast Missouri State University. In 1996 they changed their name to honor the great Harry S. Truman, the only Missourian to serve as president!

Well, no Alpha Phi at Elon, but my grandmother was an Alpha Phi at University of Michigan and I think she is pretty cool, so I am sure all the Alpha Phi's out there are awesome, too!

I love Alpha Phis! My sisters were A-Phis (at University of Idaho), and they are a GREAT chapter there with a traditionally strong sisterhood and quality girls. And my sisters absolutely loved their experience with Alpha Phi!

Thanks Moxiegrrl!! I'm new to the boards and I just finished pledging Alpha Phi at Duquesne. I guess I'm biased but I think we're really down-to-earth, sweet, FUN girls!

Hey everyone! Thanks for all of your (mostly) positive feedback about Alpha Phi! It's nice to know we still have a good international reputation!
Here at SFSU, all of the sororities are pretty small. House total is only 45, and the largest house has around 35 active members. We are second with 33. We go to a commuter school that is very liberal and anti-greek in many ways, but we've survived for 12 strong years and counting! All of our national sororities are culturally diverse pretty down to earth. Next year, Alpha Phi will be President of our Panhellenic Council. One of the members of a fraternity here once told me that Alpha Phis are the girls you take home to meet your parents and end up marrying. To me, that's a wonderful compliment!

Jessica
