Alpha Phi's

Hi,
I haven't seen anyone post yet about the Alpha Phi's on
their campus yet. So how are the Alpha Phi's on your campus?

Optimist Prime 12-09-2001 01:51 PM

no APhis here. :(

Alpha Phi was really struggling here, so last year the active members voted to all go alum so that they could "revitalize" or something, and they started from scratch again...they have like 7 members now I think, and a bunch of APhis from other schools are coming to help with rush in January. I've met a couple of the new members, and they seem pretty nice.

When I was an active at George Mason Alpha Phi was absolutely awesome. Very nice, friendly, intelligent, athletic, and very active on campus. They mostly hung out with Sigma Chi or AXP but I had some great memories Alpha Phi at Myrtle Beach, SC :) In fact one of my brothers married an Alpha Phi.

Alpha Phi here is one of the top sororities on campus, along with ADPi and DG. Some of my best friends are Alpha Phis, and my sorority little sister is one. There are some really awsome girls in there, overall the chapter is very chill. I know on some other campuses though that they're not as good.

We don't have Alpha Phi here, but a friend of mine goes to Lafayette and says they're just awesome there!

Alpha Phi at UA is a very strong house. The always make quota and are well above total. They have a beautiful chapter house. They have a mix of the down-to-earth and the very beautiful, snotty girls. They do not have any sort of dirty or nasty rep here which is good since it seems everyone has one. One of my Rho Chi's was Alpha Phi and while she and I did not get along well she seemed to be a nice person in general.

We don't have Alpha Phi but OU did. They closed my freshman year, a girl I graduated from HS with was a pledge

Interesting side note-Their chapter house is the biggest sorority chapter house in the country. I think the Phi Mus bought it.

Duke Alpha Phis

Alpha Phi is, indeed, undergoing a revitalization at Duke. This effort has just begun with the recruitment of a few great women. I believe the chapter will begin in earnest in the Spring with formal recruitment.

I have nothing but love for the Alpha Phi's at UM and also b/c they are our Big Sis in the SU Triad.
The Phi's at UM are very diverse/multicultural, sweet and down to earth. They were the house I really wanted to get into when I did formal rush (I dropped out).I heard a guy say once that all they talk about is Alpha Phi and they dont have a life outside it. That is not at all true, they had girls on everything from Dance Team to Student Government. They are truely wonderful girls overall.

APhis here are gorgeous. I have one "friend" who is really cute in that house (she can be a really nice girl but other times she can be a real bitch - but that's way off the subject). Anyway, even this girl who is really hot is sometimes intimidated by some of the girls who are in her house because they are that gorgeous. Of course b/c of their beauty some of them are rather egotistical and snobbish, but that is typical of many beautiful girls.

APhis were part of our triad for homecoming, and some of them helped out a lot, but not their freshmen. But we did win the lawn display competition, so that rocked. They usually hang out with SAE alot. The slogan around campus (g-rated version) is that you party with APhis and marry Theta's or Gamma Phi's. Theta's and G-phis are nearly as hot, but not nearly as bitchy, or at least that is the perception.

Any way APhi's definetly are uttered when anyone talks about the top houses on campus.

My roommate freshman year was a founding sister of Alpha Phi. They were great!

The Alpha Phi I met was awesome

K, I'm just gonna copy and paste what I had written in the A-Phi Forum a few months ago...

"I met an Alpha Phi at Disneyland this summer! It was so cool - she was such a sweetheart! So anyhow, we were in line for the rockets ride (I don't remember the exact name of the ride - but it's in Tomorrowland, and you can control how high your rocket flies). Unfortunately, it was also a terribly long line - it barely moved for awhile. She was in back of me with her boyfriend, who was wearing a "Phi-Ball 2000" t-shirt (how cute ). She was wearing a sweatshirt with the letters of Alpha Phi. Her boyfriend had just left the line to buy some souvenirs at the nearby shop, since it seemed like the line wasn't going to move any time soon. We were complaining together about how long the line was, and then I asked her, "So you're an Alpha Phi?" She was really impressed that I knew the letters (I'm a high school senior). I explained to her that my sister was a KD in college, and I've known about Greek life ever since I was 10. She was so happy! She was such a sweetie. She was really funny and pretty, too. We ended up talking for about 20 minutes, about everything from Greek life to college to San Francisco (that's where I'm from), and then after the ride ended, she gave me a hug and told me that she hopes that I'll go Alpha Phi next year and become her A-Phi sister!!! I was so honored!!"

So that's my great impression of Alpha Phi! :D

The Alpha Phi's at Duquesne were very pretty, mostly dark-haired, classy girls!

at truman state (in kirksville, mo) alpha phi all went alum or something the year before my freshman year of college. so they got involved with other things, one of which was a huge service sorority there. two of them lived in the apartment next door to me and they were really nice (we were in this service sorority together). i haven't had contact with any others. *shrug*
