YES.

I absolutely hate tomatoes on burgers, salads, etc, but I love tomato-based foods (salsa, spaghetti sauce, etc). I used to refuse to eat ANY tomato products, but I've started eating them when they're cooked into pastas or other meals.

Me too. I really dislike when restaurants forget my special order (sans tomato) apologizing as they take away the tomato-laden burger, only to bring it back minutes later w/out the tomato and thinking that somehow I'm not going to notice that big thin line of tomato slime left on my burger.

..but I'm over it. really I am.

Ditto.

I will add to the list: beer. I have tried at least a dozen different kinds trying to find one that doesn't make my tastebuds cuss me out and all I can say is the colors are pretty. The closest I've come is a pretty blonde one with an orange in it. I made it 3 sips before calling it quits. I only wanted to like it because my friends all love pubs and breweries so I was always left out but I'm comfortable with it now. Especially if there is pear cider involved!

Same here. Only eat fresh tomatoes in guacamole with the slime removed and diced. Otherwise, can't eat them.

Sushi. Looks beautiful, but I cannot do it at all.
Nasty stuff.
I also feel the same about Jen's dislike of coffee. It smells AMAZING but is too bitter for me.

Seconded. I do not, however like Skittles or most fruit flavored things. They look pretty but do not taste anything like fruit. This makes me sad, because I love fruit.

I like bananas and grapes but dislike almost anything banana- or grape-flavored. It's so far from tasting like actual banana or grape that it's not worth it for me.

Turkish Delight. I'd always been dying to try it because Peter in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe raved about it but maaaaaan that stuff was not the business.

LOL Did anyone else make the mistake of thinking vanilla extract would taste the way it smelled when they were little?

A Turkish TA brought this in for us to try once.

If the White Witch offered it to me, I'd be like "Nah. I'm good."

Traditional Turkish Delight - for example, the rosewater flavour - looks great, tastes like my grandmother's Rose Milk smelled. But the Americanized version - Applets and Cotlets - SO YUMMY. http://www.libertyorchards.com/categ...FQ1U7Aod9HlUKw

THIS was the flavor I got.

My very faulty logic: I picked it because it was pink. I love the pink Starbursts. Figured it would be similar. False.
