It's nothing personal - it's simply that they would rather have a member for 4 years than 3. I hope your grades are good, and that you were active on your campus your freshman year. I like the "Rush Right" book as far as coming up with a plan for recruitment. If you have a local alumnae panhellenic I would STRONGLY recommend you register with them (in addition to your campus panhellenic) as soon as you can and take advantage of any events they are holding this spring.
