Ha, we sometimes used "tots" too...but I think we had all sorts of unconventional terms.
Things that spell out "kappa alpha theta" are fine before initiation, as well as black & gold pansy items and other things with our colors. Enjoy your new member period. It goes by quickly! You'll be amazed at how quickly you end up collecting all sorts of Theta related things.
