Hey Blueprint,

I am not stepping. My step days are over! LOL! Do you all have a team together? I saw some of your sorors there but you all did not have a team. I would like to see the SG Rhos represent! I get sick of only seeing one or two sororities step. It does not give the audience a true view of all the NPHC sororities. You will see my in the audience as the soror Z-Phiing the loudest when my chapter comes out. Hope to see you there. Peace out!

True Zeta, your stepping days can never be over LOL. I don't know if some of my sorors are stepping. I know an invitation had been extended to a chapter but I'm not sure if they decided to step. Hope to see you there and hopefully we'll be more pleased with the representation of the BGLO's.

The Results

Congratulations to the Sorors from Omega Pi Chapter(Vanderbilt University) for placing third and taking home $2,000. A big G.O.M.A.B. to Frat from Eta Alpha(South Carolina State)for taking home the grand prize of $10,000. The Kappas from West Georgia placed second, even though they had four cane drops

MY COMMENTARY

Hey Everyone,

I see that some people made it out to the show. This is my commentary.
The Sigmas were the bomb, and they treated us like TRUE sorors. They most definitely deserved to win. They looked good and they had an excellent theme. Their steps were polished and together. A. Langston would have definitely been proud that night.

Second place, hum? Okay, I DONT HATE, but I do speak the TRUTH since I am TRUE ZETA. How can a Kappa team who had no theme, and their introduction was to walk on stage holding up the Kappa sign get second place? Also, they dropped their canes several times. All the teams came with good shows this time, and I believe that everyone had themes EXCEPT the Kappas. But, its ironic that Ryan Cameron is a Kappa, and those Kappas were from his chapter. I find that interesting. I am sure if Frat were not as good as they were..meaning..there was no way they could not have won..they would have tried to sneak a fast one on us. Also, they gave a $500 cash award for the KRUNKEST stepper, who coincidentally was a Kappa. I find that interesting because the Alphas had a good show and I thought they were going to place, and they did not. Now, like I said before..I DONT HATE, but I do speak the truth. Anyone who was at the show can atest to this.

Third place. My sorors of the Omnipotent Omega Pi Chapter got third place, and we were the only sorority to place. Some people in our team run track for the school so they could not attend, but my sorors put on an excellent show with 4 people..yes you read it right..4 sorors, and they brought home $2,000 with a trophy. I am so proud of them. This year alone, they have entered 4 huge shows and won 3 and got third from this one, but the fact that made this victory so great was NO OTHER SORORITY placed except us. Afterwards, we sang the hymn in the middle of the stage surrounded by our FRAT with our trophy in the middle of the circle then Frat sang their hymn while we were in the middle of their circle holding hands. It was truly a BLUE AND WHITE NIGHT. Even though we got third, I am glad FRAT won because they deserved it..BIG TIME.

Its interesting because the HATERS were out big time. Some groups just knew they had won, and when they did not even place..the look on their face was on for the record books. But, all in all, it was a good show, and Zeta represented big time.

What's up True Zeta!!! Here's my thoughts, their just my thoughts. First of all the Sigmas ripped it, both groups, and the Prince sing along was great wasn't it? My hat is off to the Zeta's, the show was tight. I think that if your sorors had about 4 more they would have easily bumped the Kappas.
Now for the Kappas, I can't hate!! They are from my alma mater and I knew the guys so i was in their corner. But I was truly surprised when they won, I thought they would only get that 500.
Yeah Ryan is from that chapter but let's not start no rumors LOL.
The Alphas did have a good theme, but in my opinion they weren't really good. The Billy Blanks guy was funny but I didn't think they would even place. Actually I thought the Blue and White was going to take the whole show. And when ya'll rushed the stage, it's was a Blutiful thing indeed.
I'm glad you had a good time and congrats!!!

Hey Blueprint!

I did not see the Kappas show because I was in back. I think all the groups were better than in the last show, but I most definitely did not think the Kappas should have placed.

I agree with you on this..we did not have our whole team which I thought would be a problem, but we knew what we could do so we just went out there.

I think you have a point about the Alphas show, but by the time they went out there..I think the crowd was tired of looking at people. I think they pretty much made up their minds. Still, their show as not bad.

Also, in reference to the haters..not trying to start negativity, but I speak the truth. The Deltas just knew they were going to win since they always do in the AU Center. I take this in stepshows especially one were people are traveling a great distance, you dont know what the next group has in store for you so be humbel and just come with your best show...dont hate. They hated on us BIG TIME! While we were on stage they were making ignorant commentary, and one was standing behind my soror while we were on stage and did not know who she was standing behind and said..." ...WE GOT THIS." I find that very funny.

Z-Phi Everyone!
I was one of the sorors in Atlanta and must say we had a great time! We were disappointed we didn't win second, but we certainly thought our Frat brothers were the bomb! We were showed much loved. That alone was worth the trip!

We have won big shows with only 4 to 5 people so we weren't concerned about numbers. I think the reason Kappas won was just like what frat said, You all KNOW them.
And when the audience and judges know people who are stepping, they usually cheer for them and give them the benefit of the doubt for mistakes.
When they are not familiar with the personalities stepping, they have to work harder to get people on your side, especially for sororities.
I think that what put us at a disadvantage. It had nothing to do with the size of the team. We are always the smallest team in every show and we usually win.

I agree with True Zeta. If the Sigmas weren't so excellent, the Kappas would have won that show, even though they weren't in my opinion the Nupes didn't do anything special. It was a typical.
I thought everyone who performed were better than the Kappas. And if we came in third to anyone else I would not be disappointed. But the Kappas show was not that good.

I must admit I was glad to beat the Deltas Lol! They were so nasty to us. When we came out of the dressing room with our costumes, the rolled there eyes at us. I heard them say, "It's only four, We got this!" We heard them laughing at us. But who's laughing now?

Z-Phi!

Hey everyone!

This show was definitely better than the last one, and I wasn't mad about spending $15 this time.

Congratulations to the Ladies of Omega Pi on the victory. I wasn't concerned about seeing 4 of you because I saw 3 Sigmas rip up a step show before, so numbers aren't everything. I'm not hating (no, for real!), but I was glad to see the CAU Deltas lose. Frankly, they've been winning, and they didn't deserve it against their competition in more than one show. It was a cool routine, but it wasn't hot like the Zetas. (Didn't that girl crawling on the speaker and floor get on your nerves? Then what did the flip have to do with any other part of the show? That wasn't part of the previous routines.)

The Sigmas from SCSU were sooo on point! I know me and the soRHOrs all had to "Ooooooooh!" when we saw them enter looking so fresh and so clean. The steps were cool, especially the first part with the canes. I loved it. Now, what was up with the Alphas from SCSU? Were they trying to diss talking about "everybody does a chair step"? I wasn't feeling them because the Alphas I've seen always step harder and look like they're genuinely having fun. It's always a fun show with a theme that is clearly understood.

Now, the Kappas...... I'll admit that they were the best stepping Kappas I've seen in a while, even for some old heads (probably in their late 20s and early 30s). They were cool, but not anything to scream over. But the screams that they got throughout the place probably contributed to "audience response" on the scores, if that was included.

Anyway, congrats again to the Blue and White family! I really did like seeing y'all in the circle and singing the hymns. It was BLUEtiful indeed.

Hey jojopeach,

I have to agree with you 100% on your post. Those Sigmas were tight. Also, their vests were embroided with 1914 and Phi Beta Sigma. We saw this because we were talking to them. They put a lot of time into their show and uniforms, and they ripped it! They made me proud.

Congrats DivineZeta on the victory!!!
I'm happy the Delta's lost also, I can't even believe that they did the same show except for the flips which wasn't impressive at all.
