I've been following the story and watching the skating on youtube when I can. The team is amazing!

I'm nervous! I'd love for any of the American teams to win, but I kinda have a soft spot for Belbin/Agosto because they've been to the Olympics before and have gotten so close. Davis/White will be around for a while I know.
I'd love to see Davis/White, Belbin/Agosto, and the Candians Virtue/Moir on the podium...just not sure in which order!

I think she is the most adorable thing to walk on (solidified) water! I only watch them, everyone else is just second rate. I love their teamwork and their unique "pizazz" for lack of a better word. Does anyone else feel like they're watching "The Blue Lagoon" cos his curly blond hair?!

I thought of Jonathan Groff (from Spring Awakening and Woodstock), but Blue Lagoon works too

They did a beautiful job last night and when I saw Meryl being interviewed, she was so gracious and conducted herself so well.

"Her and Charlie are in 3rd place". Please!!!!
"Her" is the objective case. "She" is the nominative case. Use the nominative case when the noun is the subject of the verb. In this case, the verb is "is", the third person singular conjugation of the verb "to be" ... "He is, she is, it is". But that's the formal explanation. If you just stop to think about it for about two seconds, would you say "Her is in 3rd place"? Obviously not. So why are "Her and Charlie" in third place?
I might expect such usage from someone in elementary school. But an apparent college student and a sorority member??? Unbelievable. Only in the USA.

I'm sorry grammar police. May I remind you that it was wicked late when I wrote that AND that this is a forum, not a thesis paper?
kthanks.

What, you think the only proper place to be using even the most basic elements of proper grammar is on a thesis paper!!!
I allowed for the fact that this is an informal forum in not also commenting on your improper use of 3rd rather than third (in formal writing, all numbers below 11 are always spelled out in full). But using "her" rather than "she" in the nominative (i.e., as the subject of the verb) is NEVER correct, as any college student and sorority member should know (I'm sure that your sorority, whichever one it is, emphasizes scholarship as one of its primary features or objectives).
