Tri Delta Ice Dancer Olympian
 

Representing the USA at the Vancouver Olympics 2010 are ice dancers Charlie White and Meryl Davis. Both are students at the Univ. of Michigan. They have been skating together for 13 years.

Meryl is a Tri Delta from Michigan majoring in anthropology.

Congratulations Meryl and Charlie.

And she is adorable! I can't wait for figure skating. It's always one of my favorite Olympic events!

Yes!! I watched the opening ceremony last night with some of my sisters and we screamed every time they showed Meryl on the screen, haha. We're all rooting for her.

Baahha I was doing that toO! But i was with my family who think I have too many DDD shirts so they weren't amused by my "THATS MERYL DAVIS!"

Does anyone know what night and time she competes? I want to make sure I do not miss her performance.

She is skating tonight in prime time! I am not sure of the exact time, but it sounded like it was going to be in the latter half of the prime time coverage along with the other American pair.

she did great tonight! Her and Charlie are in 3rd place. More points from the next round though!

To be an athlete FOR your school while you are working toward a degree is very difficult. Participating in an event that is not school sponsored almost seems impossible. The hours that the sport demands as well as being a student, has to be daunting. I know the clip said they were currently "part-time" but even at that, can anyone imagine missing four weeks of class and still being able to pass a test? These two are truly amazing. I will be cheering hard tonight!

On Sunday the ice dancing competition continues. This is the original dance. Meryl and White will be dancing on the ice to an Indian theme. The dances begin on Sunday evening after the skiing events are completed for the day.

She looked gorgeous and I loved her costume. Whoo Hooo!!!
