Fantasia has a voice that is rooted in a strong gospel background...if its not appealing to you guys cool but to many, including myself, she can sing her ass off...its what you're use to and what you like...its cultural...doesn't make you racist to not like her style of singing, but when you take it to another level and say she has no talent or that she's horrible it makes you seem ummm...silly...because obviously a huge group of people somewhere like her sound....a vast majority of the population can relate to her and her music...I personally for a million dollars couldn't name a Carrie Underwood song, but I own both of Tasia's cds...its just what you like...

He soooo does not need to be there. So many other VERY talented people have been sent home, while little Mr. I-can't-carry-a-tune-to-save-my-life is still on the show.

Brandon should have stayed! Sure he forgot the words, but he is a very good singer, in my opinion.

Are you serious they kept him! now that is seriously wrong. He has no appeal whatsoever and cannot hold a tune.....very flat.

I don't either. And I don't like Mantasia. Don't like Taylor Hicks either.

I think Kelly is the only one who has come out with amazing talent. This time around I think Lakisha, Melinda, Gina (as a rockstar) and Chris Sligh are awesome. I'm hoping the winner ends up as one of them.

And the fact that a vast majority of the nation can relate to Fanstasia or her music, well that's scary. Send that over to President Bush so he can make a Birth Control/Abstinence class mandatory for all junior high students.

I don't really care for any of the AI winners except Kelly, and Carrie I like only because she's a Tri Sigma. Actually I do like her song "Before He Cheats", but I own her CD and in all honesty it's mostly not my cup of tea. Anyway... I can't stand Fantasia and I don't care for her voice, but to each his/her own!

Kelly I absolutely love. I think I've downloaded everything she's come out with.

I was never a big Ruben fan, but after last weekend I am now! He performed with Natalie Cole, Kenny Loggins, and the Honolulu Symphony and was absolutely amazing. Clay may have won the hearts of the AI target, but Ruben still has his appeal with the older, easy listening crowd...so good for him.

Carrie was a favorite during AI4 and I'm still a fan. "Before He Cheats" is still on repeat for me.

You Mantasia fans can have her. Hearing her crap on the radio makes me wish I was deaf.

I guess it is what you like though. I am so impressed with Chris Daughtry right now and have fallen in love with "It's Not Over". I think I may buy his CD. America voted him out but he's doing pretty damn good right now.

I'm a HUGE fan of Chris Daughtry. I'm glad he didn't win Idol, mainly because he was free to do his own thing and not have to worry about that contract that all winners must sign. I bought like half of his songs on itunes

I'm listening to "Before He Cheats" right now!

And I haven't heard anything from Taylor since his single came out. I think the reason his album isn't selling is because he is a performer. I would not buy his album, but I would fight for tickets to see him in concert. Just my $.02
