I agree. It was quite good.
As I was listening to it, I was thinking that some segments of Sen. McCain's speech were of the "inspirational quote" variety that many pundits said were sorely missing from his performance at the final debate.
I will be interested in hearing Sen. Obama's speech.

I'm not surprised that this was his best performance. I've been on the record as being disappointed that McCain was the party's choice, and tonight kind of reinforces that. But, as someone who is not a big McCain fan, I was very impressed with his concession speech.
Obama comes into the Presidency with a great deal of momentum, more momentum than any President than Reagan. It's likely that the economy will turn around during the Presidency, and he'll get the credit, regardless of whether he deserves such credit. It will be EXTREMELY interesting to see how the Republican party responds to this. I think this is a crucial time for the party, and historic time, so to speak.

NOT SURPRISED... my parents are those rare black people who will cross party lines when they feel they should, and after Hillary lost, i think they were hoping for a sign...they saw that Katie Couric interview and the minds were MADE!!!

Dead serious: I think Michelle Obama sucks. Holy crap - maybe I just don't get it. She's like the black spy versus Barack's white spy in the old Mad Magazine comics . . .

I'm excited to hear Obama's speech

Agreed - I honestly think that the VP selection cost McCain a ton of votes. Maybe not the election, but at least a large number of votes.

Well obviously that means McCain supporters suck.
Seriously? This is a non-issue, and trying to make this into an issue is just ridiculous. I hate how people are trying to paint a whole party by the reactions of a few.

Yeah - but it's always easier to be a gracious winner than it is to well... be gracious when you are not the winner. McCain succeeded in being gracious, but his supporters will need a little time to come around.
They're human.

Someone shared this on another site, and I think it is beautiful and the best expression of what I am feeling right now.
They showed a gorgeous sign at an Obama Party a few moments ago.
"Rosa sat,
so that Martin could walk,
so that Obama could run,
so that our children could fly"
