Good afternoon to the brothers of Phi Beta Sigma. I got this from another discussion board, but it speaks to what some think about Barry Bonds' quest for the home-run record:
"I will use an SAT-style analogy to concisely theorize why the disproportionately Caucasian sports media is telling us that the American public is not "drawn" to Bonds's HR chase the way they were to Sosa's (or why Sammy may get more attention now that he only trails Barry 55-51): Sosa: Bonds: Bill Cosby: Ice Cube.
That's right, the analogy of the good black and the bad black. Sammy smiles, like Cos. Barry scowls, like Cube. 
Bonds probably will get the record, barring injury.
