I think I'd be a little upset if my tax dollars and my money was going to support their lifestyle. But then again, I guess we do spend $10 to see bad movies to support our "celebrities".

I have a good friend who lives in England, and her family is very anti-monarchy. The funny thing is, her mother was bound & determined to see Graceland before she died.

I mentioned that to my own mother, who replied, "They don't like the Queen, so they're coming here to see the King?"

And sugarandspice is right - as anti-monarchist as my friends are, they surely love the tourist money that the Royals generate!
