Yes. Brian Knor, the immediate previous coach was QB at Air Force, and the coach before that, who brough Knor in as an assistant (Can't remember his name right now -- brain f-rt) also ran an option offense.

As you can imagine, it's tough to recruit against Ohio State, Michigan, etc. (although that's not a good excuse because most of the MAC teams have to do it), so some of the skilled players tend to be smaller and it would appear that the option makes sense. Not under Knor, though, I guess.

I should add that Ohio has a new President, who is a former O.U. athlete himself (and an Omega Psi Phi) who seems intent on upgrading the athletic program. He wasted no time at all in making this change.

It would be fun to see Ohio really competitive like we where back in the sixties when I was an undergrad.
