I got engaged yesterday afternoon!!!!
My boyfriend is a Pi Kappa Phi, and yesterday at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, he proposed. We were on the grounds, walking near the bass pond, and the moment was just perfect! It was so romantic and sweet! Yesterday was our two year anniversary, too.
The ring is beautiful. And huge. And beautiful.
When we got back to Greenville, we went to his house, and were surprised by his entire fraternity, all my Eta Alpha sisters, and all of our other friends. They didn't tell me what was going on (Nathan already knew - he was part of the planning process), and they ushered me into the house. As soon as they opened the door, all my sisters starting singing Dream Awhile for my candlepass!!!! I sobbed and sobbed. HappyKappa (my big sister) had to hold me up because I was crying so hard! His fraternity was there as well, and they took him into another room and cheered for him, sang to him, and wrestled with him for about 10 minutes. Then, from somewhere in the house the rest of our friends emerged and it was a huge hug- and tear-fest! It was amazing.
*sigh*
It's been the most amazing two days!
Oh, did I mention that Stephie snuck into my room while I was gone yesterday to find lyrics to a song I learned at Leadership Academy? Yeah, she did. And all the girls learned it last night and sang it to me after the candlepass. Did I also mention I have the best sisters ever!?!
I'm just on cloud nine right now. So is Nathan. It's amazing.
