I've heard that rubbing cocoa butter on scars helps them look less noticible. I have a scar on my elbow from where I had surgery, and I used to rub cocoa butter on it. I don't know if it did any good. Its been 14 years since it happened, and its faded pretty well.
I think that time is what heals it best. But keep the area moisturized - that does help
