There are actually multiple "types of feminists.
Liberal believe that men and women should be equal and there should be no laws that differentiate between the two
Cultural believe that women and men are different, and they support the differences that make women "better"
Radical believe that motherhood is the root of all oppression for women and until we take away this burden, and even the names defining gender (he/she) we will live in a sexist society.
Marxist believe that capitalism is the reason behind sexism
LUCKILY.... most feminists are of the liberal type
That said, this woman probably heard or a few stories that may or may not have happened, perhaps said some things that riled up men to get a reaction, and then based their anger on her reason that it must be true, without taking into account that some people just do not like to be accused of such horrible acts.
I know there are fraternities out there that perpetuate these stereotypes... but there are also unaffliitated men who do also. There are also many sexist women, greek and independent.
She should have researched her article better, backed things with more facts, and not used such general terms. If there was any truth to her clamis she has taken away their credibility.
Now, anyone who reads this is inclined to believe she just hates Greek men and was looking for a reaction.....
This is definitely not the person we need out there fighting for the reduction of rape and sexual harrassment.
