The context of SH80's question implies she is female . . . so maybe the question has a different thrust.
I am not going to comment on the Sports and
Car thing because that is usually not that much of a preoccupier unless the guy is obsessive compulsive which has nothing to do with the hobby . . . just his mental state.
That can also be regional.
But as far as the sex thing . . . guys are not taught "Easy intimacy" I see girls run fingers through each others hair, touch one another, and be physically close as friends . . . we guys are taught not to do that.
Most of our feelings of intimacy are brought out during sex or sex play, touching . . . so when you reject us on that level, to us emotionally its like you have rejected us on that intimate level . . . which puts us really off balance.
