Very good point.

As a follow up, when is rush over? How would IFC know if this is a rush "event" or just friends hanging out. Is rush still going on? Do fraternities at ISU rush year round?

For example, I was friends with independents and at times we would hang out with my brothers. While we were not "actively" rushing them, in a way we were. By virtue of showing them "our brotherhood" etc.

Note: we could bid a man at any time during the semester. It didn't usually happen, but the possibility was there to do so.

My point is that where or how do members of a fraternity draw the line between an "official" event and one that is not? Especially if your campus recruits year round.
