Actually, more and more couples are going to pre-marital counseling. I think it's required in some States. It helps to iron out any issues before marriage to make the relationship more stable. There is no relationship out there that couldn't use a little bit of work. The therapist is there to help resolve differences and teach the couple how to deal with problems constructively. Research has shown that couples who had pre-marital counseling have a much lower divorce rate.
